Each year, CEDIA Expo brings together many of the leading manufacturers of custom installation (CI) gear, smart home systems, high-end audio processors, loudspeakers, projectors, and displays to demonstrate their latest products and system solutions for dealers, distributors, custom installers, and integrators. These are the professionals who design and build some of the most sophisticated home theaters and whole-home entertainment systems, with many also specializing in smart home automation, lighting, networking, and security.
CEDIA expects more than 15,000 industry professionals to attend the 2026 show, which returns to the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver from September 1-4. Denver has been home to CEDIA Expo in recent years, but that is about to change. The show moves to Las Vegas in 2027, Orlando, Florida, in 2028, back to Las Vegas in 2029, and then to Dallas, Texas, in 2030.
There will be plenty to see and hear at CEDIA Expo 2026, but one of the more ambitious ultra-high-end home theater demonstrations is being assembled by Lumagen and a rather formidable collection of partners. Let’s take a look at what they have planned.
Building on the success of Lumagen’s “Paragons of Home Cinema” demonstration at CEDIA 2025, which was selected as one of eCoustics’ Best Home Theater Systems of the show, Lumagen returns for round two with “Paragons of Home Cinema: Episode II.” The 2026 installation in Sound Room 7 (SR7) will feature a 9.4.6-channel Dolby Atmos system designed to demonstrate what is possible when high-end video processing, projection, immersive audio, acoustics, and theater design are engineered to work together as a complete system.
Lumagen
For its part, Lumagen is debuting its ArtisaN 8K Ready video and audio processor ($11,495 MSRP). ArtisaN provides eight inputs, two outputs, real-time video scaling, HDR dynamic tone mapping, precise lip-sync control, and a 3-millisecond low-latency game mode. Lumagen also offers an ArtisaN upgrade path to 4K120 and 8K processing (an additional $2,500 MSRP).
Christie
For stellar visuals, Christie will be providing the CEDIA debut of its award-winning 4K1000-KS projector. This is a single-chip DLP projector built around a 0.8-inch HEP DMD imaging device. It delivers more than 10,000 ISO lumens, 4K UHD+ resolution, wide contrast, and accelerated color cycling intended to produce vivid, accurate, and lifelike images. A 1.25–2.0:1 zoom lens provides additional installation flexibility for premium residential cinema environments. MSRP is $14,461.
The Christie 4K1000-KS projector was also included in an Ascendo/Trinnov 9.7.4 Channel Home Cinema Showcase at the recent 2026 edition of Audio Advice Live.
Stewart Filmscreen
Stewart Filmscreen will showcase VistaScope Evo, a two-way vertical masking screen system featuring Harmony G3 acoustically transparent woven screen material. The 4.5-inch-bordered system supports larger cinematic images while allowing for proper speaker placement behind the screen. VistaScope Evo will demonstrate formats ranging from 188 inches diagonal at a 2.39:1 aspect ratio to 116 inches diagonal at a 4:3 aspect ratio. MSRP as shown is $27,750.
NextLevel Acoustics
NextLevel Acoustics will feature speakers from its award-winning Cinema Series. These speakers are designed for high-performance immersive audio and provide power, clarity, precision, and cinematic scale. The demonstration will also debut two additions from NextLevel Acoustics: the Cinema H height speaker, with 93 dB sensitivity, and the flagship CI-HV21 High Velocity 21-inch subwoofer, designed for deep, fast, room-pressurizing bass. MSRP for the NextLevel Acoustics 9.4.6 loudspeaker system being used in the CEDIA demo is $66,000.
To support NextLevel Acoustics’ 9.4.6 speaker system, StormAudio, SPEAKERPOWER, and Simplified Acoustics are providing the processing, amplification, and acoustic treatments.
Storm Audio
StormAudio is bringing its Elite processor to manage audio decoding, signal processing, bass management, and system calibration through the complete StormAudio Calibration Suite, combining Dirac Live Room Correction, Bass Control, and Active Room Treatment (ART) with additional manual optimization tools to deliver precise and consistent performance. MSRP: $28,499.
SPEAKERPOWER
For amplification, SPEAKERPOWER will debut its HTx408, an eight-channel amplifier that can deliver up to 400 watts per channel. Built on the award-winning HTRx8-400 platform, the HTx408 is designed for high-end residential theaters and combines reference-level power, high-fidelity performance, and a rack-ear-free design for installation in a custom credenza or AV rack. It appears that two will be used in the demo. MSRP is $1,999 each.
Simplified Acoustics
Simplified Acoustics is providing room acoustics management with its new BDP acoustic panel. It uses a new formula for Binary Amplitude Diffusion over an absorptive panel that is more effective for off-axis waves than a traditional binary amplitude panel. System MSRP is $5,400.
Additional contributions include Kaleidescape (Movie Platform Source), Home Theater Gurus (Sound Room Design), Lowell Manufacturing (AV racks), and Bayview Audio (Video Production of SR7 demo introduction).
“Our goal with Paragons of Home Cinema: Episode II is to give dealers a complete, real-world demonstration of what is possible when best-in-class video, audio, acoustics, and theater design technologies are engineered to work together,” said Jim Peterson, president of Lumagen. “By bringing these brands together in one room, dealers can experience the performance and integration — including Lumagen’s direct control of the Stewart masking system — that define a true premium home cinema solution.”
Bonus Showings
In addition to the main 9.4.6 home theater system demo, several other interesting demonstrations will be showcased.
CineMotion Posters will be on hand with two 55-inch TVs in portrait mode in SR7 and booth 1346. One TV will function as a poster player, rotating through movie posters, while the second will serve as digital signage. The company’s CMP-01 poster player turns any flat-screen TV with an HDMI port into an animated, interactive, and connected digital movie poster that can display posters from a user’s playlists, along with “Now Playing” posters and banners when connected to any Kaleidescape Strato-series player. The player can also display both static images and motion posters.
Pixel Perfect Walls, making their CEDIA Expo debut. will be demoing an ultra-bright 130-inch direct-view LED video wall featuring a 0.9mm pixel pitch and an ultra-wide 2.22:1 aspect ratio. This will be demonstrated with Lumagen’s ArtisaN, StormAudio’s Fusion 20 integrated amp, and NextLevel Acoustics’ custom LR-CC 5.5 soundbar and HV10 Subwoofer.
The Bottom Line
Most consumers will never install a 9.4.6-channel Dolby Atmos system built around a 10,000-lumen Christie projector, nor is that really the point. What makes Paragons of Home Cinema: Episode II interesting is the way Lumagen and its partners are combining video processing, projection, immersive audio, screen masking, amplification, and room acoustics into a single reference home theater rather than demonstrating each component in isolation. For dealers and integrators designing no-compromise private cinemas, that makes SR7 one of the more relevant demonstrations at CEDIA Expo 2026.
CEDIA Expo 2026 runs September 1–4 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, with the exhibit hall open September 2–4. Paragons of Home Cinema: Episode II will be demonstrated in Sound Room 7 (SR7), with additional demonstrations in booth 1346.
