Xantech Announces Integration with HAI OmniTouch Touchscreen

Xantech’s Award-Winning MRC88 AV Matrix Controller Can Now be Easily Operated via the HAI (Home Automation, Inc.) OmniTouch Touchscreen

Sylmar, Calif. — November 7, 2007 — Xantech has announced the integration of its award-winning MRC88 A/V Matrix Controller with HAI’s OmniPro II and LuminaPro Home Control systems, which will allow users to control and monitor the status of multiple audio zones from an in-wall Touchscreen.

The MRC88, when managed through HAI’s OmniTouch Touchscreen, can be controlled through an interface that resembles a standard Xantech keypad on screen. An HAI OmniTouch Touchscreen can control on/off, volume, muting, transports, audio source, and many other functions for each audio zone.

The integration will also give users the opportunity to fully-customize their home audio as programs can be written for specific applications. With HAI OmniTouch integration users can customize their music and home control experience. Imagine returning home to your favorite music playing, lights set to your desired levels, and temperature set to a cozy setting–just by disarming your alarm system.

“HAI and Xantech both believe that a house can have true automation customized to anyone’s personal preference.” said Rick Seegull, director of business development at Xantech. “As part of HAI’s Connectivity Partners program, we are dedicated to providing the best solutions in a plug-and-play installation.”

The MRC88 is an eight-source, eight-zone A/V distribution amplifier that allows the control and distribution of eight separate source components to eight different zones, with the capacity to expand to up to sixteen zones of control and distribution. The connection to the HAI OmniPro II or LuminaPro controller is though the serial communication port.

The OmniTouch Touchscreen series allows control of lighting, security, temperature, ventilation, home audio and other home items through the HAI Home Control system.
