Following the recent release of its WASAE center channel speaker and Alida CSC Wall Mount Speakers, Wilson Audio is adding a new flagship center channel speaker, the Mezzo CSC.
This speaker is a step up from the WASAE and replaces its previous flagship center channel speaker, the Mezzo CS.
A quick look at the specifications reveals that the Mezzo CSC will require two or three adults to properly install this monstrosity of a center channel speaker and a dedicated stand that can handle at least 250 pounds.
Tech Note: CSC stands for Convergent Synergy Carbon (more on that later).
The Mezzo CSC Center Channel Speaker
Here is a look at what the MEZZO CSC offers for home theater applications.
Construction Materials: The Mezzo CSC cabinet incorporates advanced X-Material (used for cabinet bracing) and S-Material (a blend of materials that form a stable and low-resonance coupling surface for the midrange driver) for precise vibration control.
Adjustable CSC Tweeter: The CSC tweeter is placed in a fully adjustable module. This allows users to customize the center channel alignment to any installation environment. Whether the Mezzo CSC is placed on the floor, on a stand, or in a cabinet, the Mezzo CSC’s drivers can be aligned to accommodate.
The adjustable tweeter module enhances the listening experience by matching the CSC tweeter with the midrange and woofers for tighter time-alignment accuracy, regardless of the listening position.
Tech Note: Wilson’s Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC) Tweeter was designed initially for the Alexx V and subsequently incorporated into the design of Alexia V and Sasha V. The CSC tweeter components are 3D printed by Wilson Audio.
Crossover Components: The Mezzo CSC’s crossover components, include Wilson’s AudioCapX-WA capacitors. The capacitors are wound at Wilson Audio to extremely tight tolerances specifically for this product, thus increasing low-level resolution.
Main Module: Mezzo CSC’s main module includes two horizontal woofers, each located on either side of the midrange driver. First introduced in the Chronosonic XVX, Mezzo CSC features the same 7” Alnico (Aluminum-Nickel-Cobalt) QuadraMag midrange coupled with an S-Material baffle.
Connections: To support a cleaner signal path, the Mezzo CSC Center is equipped with Wilson Audio spade + banana plug binding posts.

Finish Options
The Mezzo CSC Center Channel Speaker is being offered with an abundance of cabinet and grill colors in standard (5 colors), upgrade (14 colors), and premium pearl (10 colors) options (upgrade and premium pearl color options require an extra fee). A custom finish option is also available.
