Vodafone Ireland Selects Visto to Drive Mobile Email Choice to the Mass Enterprise Market

Visto Mobile with ConstantSync Technology to Power Vodafone Business Email in Ireland

(Redwood Shores, CALIF., 15 November 2005) — Visto Corporation, a leading global provider of secure push mobile email, today announced that Vodafone Ireland, the leading mobile phone operator in Ireland, has selected Visto Mobile with ConstantSync technology to power its Vodafone Business Email offering, launched today.

With Visto Mobile, Vodafone Ireland is able to deliver a mobile push email service to satisfy the needs of their business customers, regardless of the size of their business, their email infrastructure, or their preferred mobile phone. In a service that is both easy to use and administrate, Visto Mobile enables mobile professionals to send and receive email, calendar updates and changes to contacts in real time with the protection of Visto’s advanced security architecture.

“With the launch of our new Vodafone Business Email offering, we are the only operator to offer our customers a choice of productivity tools that transforms their mobiles into a true extension of their PC or Laptop”, said Carolan Lennon, Marketing Director for Vodafone Ireland. “Now Vodafone customers have a powerful and cost effective business solution that delivers immediate and reliable access to information when on the go, regardless of the company’s size or resources.”

The Visto Mobile platform is flexible enough to enable a mobile operator to deliver a consistent advanced user experience for all business customers: large enterprises running Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino, requiring a dedicated scalable server; smaller businesses running these mail platforms, requiring a solution to install on an individual’s PC; as well as small businesses wishing to take Internet-based email mobile. In addition, the Visto platform supports the broadest set of devices across all operating systems, including Symbian, Microsoft Windows Mobile, Palm, J2ME MIDP 2.0, IMAP4 and SyncML.

“Vodafone Ireland’s selection of Visto Mobile demonstrates a commitment to providing the only push email service to offer business customers the ultimate in user experience and the freedom to choose the handsets that best suit their lifestyle preferences,” said Frederic Aries, senior vice president and general manager, EMEA for Visto Corporation. “Our open platform approach empowers wireless operators like Vodafone Ireland to meet the changing requirements of the mobile user with business services that enhance productivity and improve the quality of life. Visto Mobile with ConstantSync offers mobile users the same instantaneous and secure access that users have come to expect when retrieving email from within the confines of the corporate office.”

With the addition of Vodafone Ireland’s Vodafone Business Email solution, Visto Mobile is now available from eight of Vodafone’s operators and affiliates in Europe: Vodafone Germany, Vodafone Greece, Vodafone Italy, Vodafone Netherlands, Vodafone Spain, SFR (France), and Elisa (Finland). Visto continues to gain momentum around the world and will be announcing further operator partners before the end of 2005.
