Vidikron Expands Its Projection Line for the Custom Channel

The two newest high performance projectors offer advanced features, including CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope. The Vision 110 and 140 are now shipping.

Union City, CA — October 9, 2007 — Vidikron, a leader in the design and manufacturing of home theater video display technologies, today introduced its new single-chip DLP Vision Model 15 and Vision Model 65 projectors at the 2007 CEDIA EXPO. Along with the three-chip DLP Vision Model 110 and Vision Model 140, which are now shipping, the new additions broaden the company’s line of projectors, offering increased performance, pricing and installation options for the custom home theater channel.

Vidikron’s Vision 15 native 720p projector delivers bright, sharp, high-definition images. Featuring Vidikron’s exclusive Imagix video processing and DualV Stage Illumination (DVSI) system, the Vision 15 is Vidikron’s most affordable video solution. For even greater installation flexibility, Vidikron’s Vision 15ET provides an extended throw lens and CineWide technology to deliver the ultimate 2.35:1 cinema experience at the most affordable price to date.

Designed to deliver the highest level of performance with expanded installation flexibility, the Vision 65 boasts a native 1080p resolution. Ideal for use with multiple screen sizes and room environments, the Vision 65 features a power vertical lens shift to deliver superb imagery in a wide variety of custom applications.
The Vision 65 incorporates Vidikron’s sophisticated technologies to offer an exceptional value to custom home integrators seeking a versatile, high-performance projector that delivers the highest level of image quality for which Vidikron is known. Vidikron’s integrated state-of-the-art Imagix video processing provides superb scaling and the industry’s most advanced aspect ratio control, IntelliWide. In addition, the Vision 65 is available with Vidikron’s award-winning CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope technology; bringing the ultimate 2.35:1 widescreen cinema experience to satisfy the most discerning video aficionados.

As the Vision 65 solidifies Vidikron’s positioning within the performance single-chip projector category, the three-chip Vision 110 and Vision 140 round out the company’s high-end portfolio. Each projector incorporates advanced engineering and high-definition 1080p DLP technology to produce exceptional images with rich colors, deep black levels and refined detail. These Vidikron projectors are engineered to meet the exacting standards of the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), ensuring pristine video fidelity, accurate grayscale tracking and brilliant color reproduction.

The Vision 140 employs an advanced 1.0 kW Xenon LightAmp illumination system to bring astoundingly high-performance and ultra-high resolution to the world’s finest home theaters. It also offers four high-precision zoom lenses and features Vidikron’s next-generation, all-digital external VHD processor/controller.

The Vision 110 features a full range of precision lens options and offers substantial light output capabilities to make it suitable for larger screen sizes and applications where higher ambient light levels are present.

The Vidikron Vision 15 starts at $4,995 MSRP and the Vision 15ET starts at $5,995 MSRP. Both models will ship in December 2007. The Vision 65 starts at $8,995 MSRP and is now shipping.

The Vidikron Vision 110 starts at $39,995 MSRP and will ship in late September 2007. The Vidikron Vision 140 starts at $79,995 MSRP and is now shipping.
