Velodyne and AVAD Expand Distribution Agreement

Six Models of Velodyne’s Award-Winning Subwoofers Now Available at all AVAD 37 Locations

Morgan Hill, Calif. — May 16, 2007 — Velodyne Acoustics, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of powered subwoofers, and AVAD LLC, the leading distributor of custom home electronics, today announced that the two companies have signed an expanded distribution agreement covering six subwoofer models. The agreement, which expands the terms of an existing contract between the companies, will make it easier for AVAD’s 9,000 dealers to purchase Velodyne subwoofers at each of AVAD’s 37 locations across the United States.

The expanded relationship with AVAD is a key step for Velodyne to increase exposure to AVAD’s dealers and the custom installation/systems integrator market. Previously, Velodyne subwoofers were sold through 13 of AVAD’s locations. AVAD will now carry the Velodyne MiniVee, MiniVee 10 and DLS-R Series consisting of the DLS-3500R, DLS-3750R, DLS-4000R and DLS-5000R subwoofers nationally.

“We are thrilled to build on an already successful relationship with Velodyne, one of the most respected subwoofer companies in the world,” said Bob Gartland, president of AVAD. “The high-performance, low-distortion bass, competitive price and reliability of Velodyne subs make them a versatile solution for our dealers.”

AVAD has been distributing Velodyne products since AVAD’s inception in 1998. In addition to product, AVAD will provide dealers with Velodyne product training, complete technical support and quick access to inventory.

“We are very pleased to expand our relationship with AVAD,” said Bruce Hall, president of Velodyne. “AVAD’s established reputation, dealer-focused support and training have made for a valuable partnership. This agreement helps Velodyne extend our reach into the custom installation market and provide more dealers with access to Velodyne’s best-in-class subwoofers.”
