ValueFirst forays into Middle-East

April 2007, Dubai

Dubai, 2007 — In its global expansion spree and headquartered in Dubai, ValueFirst has started operations in the Middle-east. ValueFirst, a leading MVNO for data services with over 800 enterprises as its customers.

The total mobile population of GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) is 23 million, with Saudi Arabia having the highest mobile population of 13 million. UAE with a penetration rate of 80% was the first country in the region to launch 3G services. The GCC countries have shown promptness in taking a lot of e-governance and m-governance initiatives.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of ValueFirst Middle East, Mr. Mukkul Shyam, CEO, ValueFirst Middle East said, “The mobile revolution in Middle East has raced ahead of the internet revolution. With growing competition and decreasing margins, Enterprises have to be more competitive, increase in-house efficiency and provide better services. Dissemination of information at the right time and place is now of prime importance to communicate with people on the move. There is an urgent need to fill this void of end-to-end communication within companies and with their customers. With a high mobile penetration of over 70% in the region, ValueFirst suite of plug-and-play messaging products and mobile data services fit very well in plugging this gap”.

ValueFirst intends to take its mobile data services products and services to GCC Governments, leading banks, insurance companies, FMCG, IT and media companies in the first year of operations in Middle East. With a rich experience of service diverse markets and industries, ValueFirst intends to capture a major chunk within the first year of its operations in the Middle East.

With a global footprint and operations in the UK, USA, Australia, Germany, India, Pakistan and the US, ValueFirst focuses on B2B mobile applications and providing end-to-end SMS services to enterprise customers. With scalable architecture, a product driven approach, deployment is typically completed in a day. These products can be deployed as client applications enabling easy integration with varied and complex IT back-end systems for automated and scheduled messaging. This is backed by a high level of redundancy of servers with load balancing, fail-over mechanisms and least cost routing through a messaging platform deployed in three continents on three different IP backbones

As a result, ValueFirst has forged strategic alliances with HCL, Siemens, TCS, Talisma and Microsoft as their mobile messaging partner.
