Logitech-owned Ultimate Ears (UE) has announced its smallest and most affordable portable Bluetooth speaker to-date. At just $79.99 USD, the new MINIROLL follows a recent update to UE’s Boom Series portable Bluetooth speakers earlier this year.
The MINIROLL is a durable, compact speaker sporting a circular shape that is designed to provide crisp sound. Weighing just over half a pound (279 grams), MINIROLL is light enough to be worn. An included hookable strap makes it easy to take with you while attached to clothing or gear. The strap can accommodate rods with diameters ranging from 20mm to 35mm.
The MINIROLL incorporates Bluetooth version 5.3 providing the ability access to music-streaming content from compatible devices, such as smartphones. Bluetooth range is up to 40 feet.
With a long press of the play/pause button, listeners can access Ultimate Ears’ PartyUp feature that includes Auracast. It allows you to connect an unlimited number of MINIROLL speakers. However, the MINIROLL can’t be connected to other Ultimate Ears speaker models with PartyUp.
To provide day-long listening the MINIROLL provides up to 12 hours of playtime on a single charge.
For those who are concerned about sustainability, the MINIROLL is made of 100% post-consumer recycled polyester fabric and a minimum of 40% post-consumer recycled plastic parts, giving a second life to end-of-use plastic from consumer electronics.
The MINIROLL is offered in Gentle Black, Majestic Blue, Revive Grey, and Calming Pink (availability varies by region).

Ultimate Ears has an ever-expanding lineup of compact portable Bluetooth Speakers, and the MINIROLL is designed for those looking for an extremely compact, even wearable, speaker that is very convenient for on-the-go listening. It doesn’t have all the features of UE’s step-up portable speakers, but for convenience, the MINIROLL might be the right choice.
