TREKSTOR INTRODUCES 1-TERABYTE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

Newest USB Drive Comes With 1000 Gigabytes of Storage and Nero Software

EAST ROCKAWAY, New York – July 16, 2007 – TrekStor GmbH & Co. KG, Germany’s largest manufacturer of USB storage devices, has introduced its highest-capacity hard drive, capable of holding one terabyte of data. The DataStation duo w.u is a new 3.5-inch external USB hard drive compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. Featuring Nero BackItUp2 Essentials software for easy “Push-for-Backup” archive function, and convenient front panel on/off switch, the duo w.u is compromised of two 500GB HDDs, recognized as a single 1TB drive. The duo w.u hard disk offers exceptionally fast data transfer via a hi-speed USB 2.0 interface is bootable, pre-formatted and immediately operable.

The included Nero BackItUp2 backup software allows users to complete data backups quickly and easily, from individual files and folders to entire drives. Simply hit the switch, and any data selected is secured immediately, without having to load any backup settings. The software compresses the backup directly “on-the-fly” to reduce data volume, and data can be password protected to guard against unauthorized access.

“Businesses and individuals are requiring higher capacity storage products for primary storage or backup applications as well as simple functions as an on/off switch that other USB drives are lacking,” said Hana Arad, president of Data Station, the U.S. marketing arm for Germany-based TrekStor GmbH & Co. KG. “TrekStor is the world leader in storage providing a breadth of products both businesses and consumers are demanding.”

Additional design queues include an on/off switch located on the front panel and an aluminum housing that dissipates heat without the need a fan. The duo w.u ships with a USB 2.0 cable, external power supply, Nero BackItUp2 Essentials software CD and other accessories.
