Toshiba Expands Line of New Mobile Qosmio AV Notebook Computer

Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced three new models to the recently released 15.4-inch Qosmio F45 AV notebook series with the Qosmio F45-AV410, Qosmio F45-AV411 and Qosmio-AV413 audio-video notebook computers. These specific models incorporate Dolby Home Theater™ technology, Intel Turbo Memory Technology and a DVD SuperMulti drive with Labelflash™.

The Qosmio F45 lineup provides the style and elegance that audio/video enthusiasts have come to expect from the Qosmio brand, by sporting a striking piano-key white glossy finish, and a contrasting silver volume control knob and Qosmio AV Controller. These three new Qosmio F45 configurations are designed to give more consumers the opportunity to enjoy the premium quality that the Qosmio brand reflects.

Providing a first-class multimedia experience at home, on-the-go or in a dorm room, each Qosmio F45 model leverages two Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers, a built-in subwoofer and Dolby Home Theater technology. The Qosmio’s high-end speaker configuration dramatically enhances the visual experience by delivering a sophisticated suite of audio technologies, such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Live, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Headphone and Dolby Virtual Speaker. As a result users have the freedom and flexibility to enjoy rich surround sound in a variety of playback environments including a user’s favorite music, movies and games.

To enhance the overall multimedia experience on the Qosmio F45, Toshiba incorporated 1024MB of Intel Turbo Memory Technology. This new flash-based storage technology from Intel reduces the time it takes the Qosmio F45 to boot, launch movies, run multimedia applications and games as well as return from hibernation mode. Labelflash allows users to laser etch both labels and images directly on specially-coated DVD discs for a professional look.

Additionally, the Qosmio F45 lineup incorporates the draft 802.11n(1) wireless(2) protocol, which delivers transfer speeds up to five times(3) faster than the previous 802.11g standard. This new wireless protocol makes it possible for users to download large files, such as movies and television shows in a fraction of the time, while providing greater security, faster internet browsing, and a richer wireless internet experience.

The Qosmio F45-AV410 is available at http://www.toshibadirect.com. Additional configurations are available at a variety of major consumer electronics and computer stores nationwide. These models are available with the following specifications and price options:
