Britain-based high-end speaker maker Stratton Acoustics Ltd unveiled two new models at AXPONA 2025—the Element 6 and Element 8—expanding their Element range with more compact options that maintain the meticulous design and sonic precision of the larger Element 12 and flagship Elypsis 1512.
With tariffs and trade costs looming large in conversations across the show floor, Stratton’s commitment to UK-based craftsmanship drew even more attention, highlighting the premium these speakers carry in both quality and price.
Despite their more compact bookshelf/standmount form factor, the Element 6 and 8 pack a bold visual punch, combining premium materials with class-leading electro-acoustic design and engineering to deliver a truly luxurious experience—for both your eyes and your ears.
Element 6

The Element 6 is the smaller of Stratton’s two new models, with clean lines and refined finishes designed to fit seamlessly into a variety of room styles. Despite its compact size, it aims to deliver a balanced and engaging listening experience.
Inside, it features a 6-inch (150mm) carbon-fibre bass/midrange driver and a waveguide-loaded 29mm soft dome tweeter, designed for accurate imaging, wide dispersion, and smooth integration between drivers.
The enclosure uses an acrylic-silica reinforced polymer matrix for added rigidity and reduced resonance, paired with CNC-machined aluminium front and rear baffles for structural stability and a modern aesthetic.
Ideal for smaller rooms or nearfield setups, the Element 6 shows that well-executed design doesn’t always need to be oversized.
Element 8

If the Element 6 feels a bit too compact, the larger Element 8 builds on the same core design principles while offering a step up in scale and low-end performance. It features an 8-inch (200mm) carbon-fibre bass/midrange driver for deeper bass response, without sacrificing the clarity and balance that define the line.
Like its smaller sibling, the Element 8 includes a patented decoupled, waveguide-loaded 29mm soft dome tweeter and uses the same rigid, low-resonance acrylic-silica reinforced polymer matrix enclosure.
A bass reflex cabinet with a precision-engineered flared port further extends the speaker’s low-frequency reach. The result is a speaker designed to handle larger rooms and more demanding playback without compromising detail or musicality.
Element Stands
To complement the Element 6 and 8, Stratton offers dedicated stands that provide stable support and greater placement flexibility.
Machined from aerospace-grade aluminium, the stands are built for durability, rigidity, and vibration control. Their design echoes the detailing of the speakers’ front and rear baffles, creating a cohesive visual presentation.
Beyond aesthetics, the stands are engineered to help reduce floor-borne vibrations that can affect sound clarity. Like the speakers themselves, the stands balance practical engineering with thoughtful design, rounding out the system both visually and functionally.
From Founder David Fowler: “These new models encapsulate our passion for designing speakers that don’t just sound beautiful, but are beautiful…“The Element 6 and Element 8 are compact, yes, but uncompromising. They’re built for music lovers who want to experience the passion in music, but who also value precision engineering, as well as timeless beauty.”

The Bottom Line
Stratton Audio made a bold entrance in 2023 with their first loudspeaker, the Elypsis 1512—a striking, large-format design that draws clear inspiration from iconic models like the JBL 4350, Tannoy Buckingham and Urei 815a. While paying homage to those vintage studio and high-efficiency giants, the Elypsis 1512 adds a thoroughly modern twist in both engineering and aesthetics, targeting today’s discerning audiophile—especially the ones with deep pockets and a taste for statement gear.
In 2024, Stratton introduced its second speaker, the Element 12—a more traditional-looking design that carried forward much of the innovation developed for the Elypsis 1512.
For 2025, the lineup expands with two bookshelf/stand-mount models, the Element 6 and Element 8, aimed at delivering the sonic character of the Element 12 in more compact, space-friendly form factors.
All this sounds great, but comes at a hefty price, putting the two new Elements in a similar price category as the TAD ME1TX ($18,000/pair) or Focal Sopra No1 ($13,000/pair). With a lot of great bookshelf speakers selling for less than $1,000 a pair, the Strattons really need to be something special to get audiophiles to dig deeper into their wallets.

I submit for a vote that the Element 8 be renamed the “Liberace” and the Element 6 the “Bootsy Collin’s Parliament-Funkadelic”.
Both speakers are, as was coined/popularized by the great Cab Calloway in the song, “Are You Hep To The Jive” (released in 1940) very “Fly”.
“Do you lace your boots high?
(Yes, yes)
Are you fly, are you fly?
(Yes, yes)
Do you dig, do you dig
Do you swing on a gig?
Are you hep to the jive?“
In the vernacular of today paying homage to a far more palatable past? “Sheeeeeit! Are you all reet?
Pass out the flashlights.

ORT,
Being too kind. Not a fan of the styling. If one can call it that.

Ian, you are correct!
These remind me of mid ‘70s platform shoes with goldfish swimming in the 8 inch heels. Liberace wept.
