Agreement Gives mylo Device Owners Up To One Year of complementary Wi-Fi Service at Thousands of Locations

Sony and T-Mobile USA, Inc. are making it easier to live your life online by providing up to twelve months of complimentary T-Mobile HotSpot service for all mylo™ personal communicator devices.

Stan Glasgow, Sony Electronics’ president, announced the promotion during his keynote address at the DigitalLife Expo in New York. The promotion is available for a one-year period starting on the date that a Sony mylo device first connects to the T-Mobile HotSpot service or December 31, 2007, whichever comes first.

“The mylo personal communicator is designed to let users stay connected to their online lives when they’re away from their home network,” said John Kodera, director of product marketing for personal communication devices at Sony Electronics. “By offering complimentary access at thousands of T-Mobile HotSpot locations, we are giving mylo communicator users more opportunities to stay online while they’re out and about.”

Starting in mid-November 2006, mylo communication devices will get online access for no charge at more than 7,000 T-Mobile HotSpot locations in the United States, including many Starbucks coffeehouses, Borders Books and Music stores, FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Centers, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Sofitel and Novotel hotels, Red Roof Inn locations, the airline clubs of American, Delta, United and US Airways and select airports

When the application becomes available, current mylo communicator users can download it from http://www.sony.com/mylo which will allow the device to log onto a T-Mobile HotSpot at no charge during the promotion.

The mylo personal communicator allows you to send instant messages with Google Talk™ instant messaging service and Yahoo! Messenger™ while connected to a T-Mobile HotSpot, or any available 802.11b wireless network. The embedded HTML browser connects you to Web pages on the Internet and lets you send and receive emails. The mylo communicator is also pre-loaded with Skype™ software, which allows you to make Internet calls.

The mylo personal communicator is available now for about $350 online at sonystyle.com, at Sony Style retail stores (sonystyle.com/retail), and at authorized dealers nationwide. For more information about the product, go to http://www.sonystyle.com.
