Solid State Logic Users Dominate Nominee and Winner Categories at the American Music Awards

60% of Nominees and 74% of Winners Rely on SSL to Create the Hits

LOS ANGELES — Solid State Logic, the manufacturer of industry leading, digital and analogue consoles, is pleased to announce that SSL users were among the majority of nominees and winners at the recent 36th annual “American Music Awards” (AMAs). The star studded event was broadcast live on ABC from the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles and featured 43 artists and projects competing in 23 categories, with 60% of the nominees and 74% of the winners using SSL consoles to create their hits.

The complete list of SSL users who were nominated include: Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, Coldplay, Daughtry, Enrique Iglesias, J. Holiday, Jonas Brothers, Jordin Sparks, Kanye West, Kenny Chesney, Lil Wayne, Mamma Mia, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, MercyMe, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Rhianna, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, The Dream, Usher and Wu-Tang Clan.

The winners whose projects were produced using SSL consoles were:
•Chris Brown with three awards for Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, Pop or Rock Music, and Favorite Male Artist Soul/Rhythm & Blues Music
•Mariah Carey with an Honorary Award
•Daughtry for Favorite Band, Duo or Group, Pop or Rock Music
•Enrique Iglesias, for Favorite Artist, Latin Music
•Jonas Brothers for T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award
•Alicia Keys with two awards for Favorite Album, Pop or Rock Music and Favorite Album, Soul/Rhythm & Blues Music
•Brad Paisley for Favorite Male Artist, Country Music
•Rascal Flatts for Favorite Band, Duo or Group, Country Music
•Rhianna with two awards for Favorite Female Artist, Pop or Rock Music and Favorite Female Artist, Soul/Rhythm & Blues Music
•Jordin Sparks for Favorite Artist, Adult Contemporary Music
•Taylor Swift for Favorite Female Artist, Country Music
•Carrie Underwood for Favorite Album, Country Music,
•Kanye West with two awards for Favorite Male Artist, Rap/Hip-Hop Music and Favorite Album, Rap/Hip-Hop Music.
