SIM2 is now shipping the NERO 3D-2 home theater DLP projector, the first model in the recently announced NERO Series. The remaining 3 models in the line will follow in the next few months.

The compact and curvaceous NERO 3D-2 with its sleek black cabinet integrates beautifully in any home decor and the premium 3D experience comes alive for viewers thanks to SIM2's patented optical light engine and advanced processing electronics that provides bright, colorful images and a level of clarity that rivals even the finest movie theaters. The NERO 3D-2 also features DynamicBlack for improved black level performance and contrast ratio (up to 30,000:1), making shadow detail and picture dynamics look even more realistic. The NERO 3D-2 sets new standards for single-chip DLP projection with PureMovie and Pure Motion user modes optimized for 2D and 3D viewing. (The Optional SIM2 3D emitter and glasses are required to initiate this feature).

Made in Italy by a highly creative team of engineers, the NERO Series offers consumers a choice of models that will enhance their viewing pleasure from all video sources in real-world lighting conditions. The NERO 3D-1, 3D-2, 3D-HB and NERO 235 offer consumers different feature sets, depending on model: 3D, high brightness, high contrast, and 2.35:1 aspect ratio (NERO 235 only).

The precision glass optics of its ALPHAPATH light engine, the sophisticated electronics platform, and the latest DLP chipset, all go into creating images with lifelike clarity and color accuracy. Designed for use in Reference Home Theaters, Media, Family or Game Rooms, NERO is that perfect balance of power, precision, and innovation.

A choice of three high quality glass lenses (T1, T2 and T3) is available for the NERO 3D-2 giving the projector a total throw ratio of 1.37-3.9:1. These lenses are part of SIM2's Unified Throw Ratio concept, which makes specifying and upgrading within the SIM2 line very easy. To aid calibration SIM2's Live Colors Calibration 2.0 software allows complete control over primary, secondary, and white-point color coordinates in both 2D and 3D, enabling experts to accurately calibrate the final image on-screen via a user-friendly PC-based interface.
