Screen Research Upgrades LeWing Home Cinema Screen Lineup

Screen Research now offers four custom JBL cinema speaker options with its LeWing flagship luxury projection screen ensemble.

Las Vegas, NV — CES 2008 — January 7-10, 2008 — Screen Research, a world-class provider of innovative projector screen solutions for the custom home theater and professional markets, has announced an upgrade to its award-winning LeWing product line. Through an exclusive agreement with JBL, a leading manufacturer of loudspeakers and electronics, LeWing is now available with a range of premier-quality JBL speaker options to offer the industry’s most dynamic, integrated audio/video home cinema solution.

Designed exclusively for the high-end video projection market, Screen Research’s LeWing is a unique home theater solution that pairs a fully retractable, acoustically transparent screen with a control-independent, high-performance speaker system. LeWing combines the most advanced home theater technologies, including Screen Research’s ClearPix projection screen with acoustically transparent black backing layer; THX and ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) certifications; and now a variety of high-performance JBL speakers, to deliver the ultimate home theater experience with the highest level of audio and video integrity.

The upgraded LeWing features four custom speaker options all incorporating JBL acclaimed speakers: an entry-level option (LWI), two step-up options (LWII, LWIII) and a fourth option (LWIV) integrating JBL Project Array component — a professional-venue-style speakers optimized for smaller venues to deliver a new level of dimensional accuracy, and tonal and dynamic realism. JBL’s 880 Array is THX Ultra2 certified. Replace JBL’s THX Ultra2-certified 880 Array center channel is designed to produce the same timbre and phase behavior as reference tower audio systems delivering the power and accuracy essential in multichannel home cinema setup.

Perfect for the most discerning home theater enthusiasts, LeWing blends the highest levels of JBL audio excellence with Screen Research legendary video performance without having to dedicate an entire room to the cinema. LeWing’s screen and speakers are conveniently positioned in-ceiling or within a discrete on-ceiling enclosure. At the touch of a button, the screen and speakers are dropped for big-screen entertainment, or remain hidden for the ultimate designer-friendly environment.

The only in-ceiling screen with motorized horizontal and vertical masking and THX Ultra certification — and associated with THX Ultra2 speakers – LeWing is available in 16:9 and 2.35:1 format. Masking systems and trap door functionality are offered as optional features.

The JBL speaker options are now available on all LeWing models.
