Scosche Industries Ships GM13SR LAN 11 Bit Stereo
Replacement Interface for Select 2004-2008 Vehicles

Expanded Line of Aftermarket Accessories Hits Dealers Shelves

Oxnard, Calif., (November 18, 2008) — Scosche Industries, a leader of mobile electronics aftermarket accessories, announced today it is now shipping its GM13SR LAN 11 bit stereo replacement interface for select 2004-08 GM vehicles. While also introducing interfaces for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Volkswagen models, Scosche has expanded its line of OEM integration interfaces for the aftermarket, providing consumers with a variety of products that will enhance their car audio-listening experience.

The GM replacement interface can be used for the 2004-07 Chevrolet Malibu/MAXX, 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, 2005-08 Chevrolet Cobalt, 2007-08 Chevrolet HHR, 2007-08 Pontiac G5, 2005-08 Pontiac G6, 2006-08 Pontiac Solstice, 2006-08 Saturn Aura and 2007 Saturn Sky. Driver information display and menu adjustments are retained on all models except for the Chevrolet Malibu/MAXX and the Pontiac G6.

As is the case with Scosche’s established line of OEM-integrated products, the GM13SR was designed to make installation of any brand name aftermarket head-unit simple. The GM13SR allows the customer to replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket head unit and utilize their factory amplifier without having to “re-wire” the entire system.

For most vehicles, the GM13SR provides data-driven park brake, reverse light, AMP trigger of factory-amplified systems, vehicle speed sense (VSS) and auto illumination trigger outputs.
The unit also issues a “Healthy” status report for OEM diagnostic scans and retains all factory safety and warning chimes.

The GM13SR has a data-driven +12V-switched ACC power wire for the aftermarket unit and includes both 24-pin connector and 16/14-pin connector set to cover all applications. Through innovative technology and research, Scosche’s line of stereo replacement interfaces self-adjusts accordingly to avoid distortion of factory speakers.

The GM13SR also offers balance control and fading for complete manual sound management. The unit has 4-channel RCA leads so the installer can use the RCA output of the stereo and gain the highest quality sound rather than go through the speaker level output. The 3-wire hard-wired RCAs are color coordinated for left right-front and rear speaker colors and easy installation.

The GM13SR replacement interface will retail at $99.95 and is available at specialty retailers across the nation and includes all the necessary hardware, including two harnesses.
