Best of CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award Winner in the in-vehicle control/OEM integration category
Scosche Industries, an innovative manufacturer of mobile electronics aftermarket accessories, is proud to announce it has won a Best of CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards in the in-vehicle control/OEM integration category for its unique product, the stereo replacement interface #GM25-SWM. According to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the prestigious award recognizes the most innovative consumer electronics products in the industry’s hottest categories and is a hallmark for the best designed products in consumer technology.
“We are honored to be recognized by the CEA with a Best of Innovations Award,” said Kas Alves, executive vice president, Scosche Industries. “We are dedicated to deliver innovative and useful products to our customers and continue to remain on the forefront of the industry. The GM25-SWM, another industry-first, demonstrates our outstanding design, research, innovation and commitment to the aftermarket community.”
The GM25-SWM offers multiple solutions in one product SKU. It is a multi-platform stereo replacement interface covering nearly all 2,000 GM vehicle applications on the road while also including steering wheel interface protocols for the most popular aftermarket brands. The key feature of Scosche’s GM25-SWM is allowing the installer to replace the Factory stereo and retain the vehicle’s steering wheel control functions without the need of installing multiple interfaces in the vehicle. By combining stereo replacement and steering wheel functionality, a single Scosche GM25-SWM can take the place of up to 5 individual SKU’s that are currently on the market. The GM25-SWM uses a unique steering wheel control harness that unlocks six aftermarket protocols including: Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion and JVC with no learning process required.
As a stereo replacement interface, the GM25-SWM maintains the integrity of important GM safety and diagnostic functions which are lost when the factory head unit is removed.
The GM25-SWM will be available at specialty retailers across the country and will be displayed in the Scosche booth #1420 at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
