Schneider Kreuznach Cine-Digitar Anamorphic MF Premiere Lens

Schneider Optics introduces the new Cine-Digitar Anamorphic MF Premiere lens attachment by Schneider Kreuznach in Germany. The same company that makes the world's most popular motion picture theatre projector lenses presents the home cinema industry's largest, top of the line optical solution for the look of professional motion picture cinemas. Now 2.35:1 Cinemascope format can be achieved with high-end native 16:9 projectors with full resolution, no light loss, and no “black bars.”

Schneider's engineering team based the design of the MF Premiere on the 4-element cylindrical ground-glass design used in their commercial anamorphic lenses as well as the other 1.33x anamorphics in the Cine-Digitar home cinema lens family. The MF Premiere is made in Germany alongside their other fine motion picture optics and features multi-layer optical coatings which ensure high contrast as well as maximum brightness and color fidelity on the screen. The result is a dependable top grade lens that provides flawless anamorphic conversion yet maintains image quality with full zoom range flexibility, even at low throw ratios.

The MF Premiere is fully compatible with most digital home cinema projection systems with DLP, LCD, LCOS and D-ILA technologies, including 4K and commercial-grade units with imaging chip sizes of up to 2.3″. It is available with a static clamp stand or motorized deployment by the Kino Linear motorized slider.

Product delivery is scheduled in the Fall of 2010.
