The new Samsung R40 laptop series is designed with the practical yet media-centric user in mind, with functional performance features enveloped in a subtle black (14-inch R440-11) and espresso pattern (15-inch R540-11) finish inside and out. . The Samsung R540, the flagship laptop of this series, features a Blu-ray player for mobile media as well as a HDMI port for easy coordination of media with televisions. The discrete graphics from ATI supports the gamer in any household.
Both feature a well-spaced, roomy keyboard with a numeric keypad integrated in the R540 model, large multi-gesture touchpad and rounded, smoother edges. Also boasting a 16:9 aspect ratio, HD LED-backlit display, the Samsung R40 series easily accommodates all the applications typically used by media-centric consumers.
The R40 series seamlessly integrates multimedia entertainment, mobility and performance. The R440 ($729) and the R540 ($999) will be available through Samsung resellers beginning in July.
