Stylish Power Recliner Comes Loaded with Options, from Cup Holders to Ottoman — Plus 10-15 Day Delivery on Custom Orders!

CES ’08, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2008 —Salamander Designs, Ltd., a leading designer and manufacturer of modern furniture, seating and mounting products for Home Theater and A/V entertainment systems, introduces the Olivia, a stylish new home theater seat, at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show, beginning here today.

The Olivia is an ergonomically designed recliner that can be customized in a variety of ways, and with a variety of materials and accessories. Generously proportioned with an extremely comfortable seating surface measuring 23.5 inches wide, it combines the special conveniences of theater seating with the luxurious comfort and look of fine home furniture. It also broadens Salamander’s growing family of Home Theater Seating products.

The Olivia seamlessly integrates into any Home Theater, living room or other residential environment. Its spacious seating area permits everyone to sit or lounge as they’re most comfortable, and adds diversity to any Home Theater, even as its modular flexibility enables it to provide more service than a freestanding chair.

As a recliner, the Olivia needs just three inches of clearance behind it, making it ideal for relatively narrow areas. It features both a standard manual recline mechanism, and a powered mechanism controlled by a switch in the arm. A hidden footrest automatically extends as the seat reclines.

The Olivia can be customized in a variety of ways. Its modular design allows it to be configured into loveseats, straight or curved theater-style rows, and L-shaped sectionals. Customers can select from 14 grades of leather, 10 Microsuedes, a covering that’s 100 percent leather, or a combination of both materials for an appealing two-tone look.

The Olivia’s superior materials ensure many years of maximum enjoyment. Individually wrapped coil springs within the seat are surrounded by foam for a luxurious sense of comfort, and the seat itself rests on sturdy, dark espresso hardwood feet. A lumbar support pillow comes with each Olivia.

The Olivia’s extensive accessories include optional, machined-aluminum cup holders in silver or black anodized finishes; tablets, and a matching ottoman with built-in storage compartments and hidden feet.

A tactile sound transducer, also available as an option, allows users to feel the percussive dynamics of cinema sound tracks. The device mounts easily beneath the chair and connects to an entertainment system amplifier. It harnesses the same technology that makes flight simulators seem so realistic to pilots during their training.

The Olivia is available now from authorized Salamander dealers. It can be seen with Salamander’s other outstanding products in Booth 25911, South Hall 2, Las Vegas Convention Center, during the show.
