Union City, CA — May 10, 2007 — Runco International, Inc., the leader in home video display technology, and guests just returned from the Melia Cabo Real Resort, Cabo San Lucas for the company’s annual Mexico Getaway. Now in its twelfth year, founders Sam and Lori Runco welcomed more than 250 guests including top Runco dealers, sales representatives, press, industry affiliates, staff, friends and family for the week-long event.
“What began as a sales incentive trip has evolved into so much more; we come here each year to celebrate your success and see everyone who has become part of our family,” stated Sam Runco as he spoke to his guests at the Gala event held on Saturday evening April 14th. Proudly addressing the crowd, “This event is a mix of new faces and familiar faces; and I truly appreciate all of your dedication and hard work. In the words of Anthony Pavia from Lights, Camera, Action ‘I never want to tell my wife and daughters they aren’t going to Cabo’…It’s inspiring and I’m sure all of you first timers feel that way after experiencing this week.”
Achieving a unique blend of business and pleasure, Runco’s Getaway provided an open platform for dealers, press, and Runco representatives to participate in roundtable discussions, new product introductions, and demonstrations. New this year, Runco was excited to provide a press-only Runco Academy session. The morning sessions provided the opportunity to gather valuable feedback and conduct business, while the afternoon agenda lent time for a plentiful list of fun-filled activities including: Wine Tasting, Egg Toss/Potato Sack Race, Belly Flop Contest, Talent Show, and annual Golf Tournament.
