Runco Internationals High Definition LCD Flat Panel Display Featured in 2005 Southern Living Idea House at Glenwood Park

UNION CITY, CALIFORNIA — June 30, 2005 — Long a well-recognized pioneer in home entertainment technology and design, Runco International is lending its creative energy and resources to Southern Living magazine’s environmentally friendly showcase, the 2005 Southern Living Idea House at Glenwood Park in Atlanta. Randy Massey of Electronic Home in Atlanta, an experienced Runco dealer in the Southeastern United States, has installed a 40-inch high definition LCD flat panel display–the flagship model from Runco’s new line of stylish displays. The 2005 Southern Living Idea House at Glenwood Park is now open to the visiting public until October 2nd, 2005.

“With the Crystal Series LCD flat panel displays, we strive to provide the perfect balance between performance and style,” said Bob Hana, president of Runco International. “Our goal is to create a new luxury standard; one that integrates Runco’s signature picture quality with the exclusive benefits of LCD technology. The Crystal Series made its debut at CES 2005 and the response from home entertainment system designers and their customers has been overwhelming. The 2005 Southern Living Idea House at Glenwood Park presents the perfect opportunity to showcase our product’s elegant design, superb picture quality, and seamless integration within any home interior.”

Experienced custom installation specialist, Randy Massey of Electronic Home in Atlanta was in charge of the flat panel display installation. He commented: “Being from the South, we’re avid Southern Living readers, so we’re honored to collaborate with the magazine in one of its 2005 Idea Houses. Since the home puts a focus on smart design and environmental awareness, we knew the slim and energy-efficient Crystal Series LCD would be the right fit. The house, which is going to be featured in the August edition, will give readers and visitors great ideas to use in their own homes,” he added.

Runco International’s new Crystal Series of LCD flat panel displays breaks new ground in application flexibility and stunning looks. The new panels, available in 26″, 32″ and 40″, seamlessly blend into nearly any setting by utilizing Runco’s sculpted industrial design, as well as a wide array of connections that allow for easy integration with today’s advanced signal sources. Each features a 16:9 configuration (1366 x 768 native resolution), and incorporates Runco’s innovative video technologies that remarkably enhance picture quality. Visitors to the Idea House will soon discover why Runco’s Crystal Series of LCD flat panel displays is the ideal choice for the uncompromising home entertainment sophisticate.

Southern Living readers have an opportunity to see Southern Living style up close and personal by touring this terrific home, brimming with ideas for homeowners. Glenwood Park, a walkable “new-urban” neighborhood near downtown Atlanta is the site of the 2005 Southern Living Idea House at Glenwood Park. Green Street Properties created this award-winning development. The 28-acre community is located on Interstate 20 just two miles from downtown Atlanta, offering a mix of pleasant, tree-lined streets, city houses, townhouses, condominiums, stores, and parks. The community is noted for its commitment to traditional neighborhood design, walkability, and environmental management practices.

The four-bedroom, four-bath, two-story home reflects the development’s emphasis on the environment, incorporating green-building techniques that reduce operating costs and add value to the home. A portion of the proceeds from tours of the home will benefit Earth Share of Georgia, an environmental fund-raising organization that supports environmental groups across the state.
