Runco International Opens European Service Center

Dedicated Service and Technical Support Paves Way for Overseas Expansion

UNION CITY, CALIFORNIA — November 14, 2005 — Runco International continues to expand its presence in European markets and is proud to announce the opening of a dedicated service center that will lend timely support to its dealers and distributors. Headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, the new facility will support Runco’s European operations by providing authorized service, factory-trained technical assistance, and direct replacement part support. The opening of a Portugal-based service center is a direct result of Runco International’s plans to significantly increase their market share in the luxury segment of the European home theater industry.

“Our business has been growing steadily in Europe and the time has come to provide improved service and support for our growing distribution network,” said Bob Hana, President of Runco International. “With on-the-ground support based in Europe, we can provide our dealers and their customers with prompt service and technical assistance that will dramatically improve turn-around times in the unlikely case of a system failure. This level of support goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to providing the best video performance possible, as well as the best backed service in the industry.”

Runco International’s new European service center will be staffed with factory-trained personnel who will provide direct assistance to dealers and distributors across the continent. Runco International’s Portuguese distributor, Ignatia LDA, will locally manage the facility under the overall direction of Mr. Heitor Santos.

The process for requesting service or replacement parts has been streamlined for Runco International’s European distribution network. Dealers and distributors will be directed to visit www.ignatia.pt/service, where their personalized user name and password will gain them access to the site. European dealers and distributors who do not currently have a user name and password are directed to contact Mr. Heitor Santos at heitor@ignatia.pt.
