RTIS T3 Universal System Controller Receives High Impact Product of the Year Honorable Mention From CEPro Magazine

Handheld Controller Uses Touchscreen Technology to Create Complete, Simple Control Over Any Size Home Entertainment System

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — JANUARY 30, 2006 — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), the pioneer of home entertainment control technology, is proud to announce that its T3 Universal System Controller has received an Honorable Mention from CEPro magazine in the fourth annual CEPro High Impact Products (CHIPs) of the Year, which recognizes the products that have had the biggest impact on a custom installer’s business throughout the year. In 2005, the T3 has experienced extreme success as a breakout product designed to provide the utmost level of control to users, effortlessly and easily.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us as we look forward to providing solutions that offer automation, and ease of use all wrapped into a comfortable design,” said Pete Baker, Director of Sales for RTI. “To be recognized alongside such distinguished peers is not only an honor, but also an inspiration for greater things to come in control technology.”

The T3 features a 3.5 inch, brightly backlit touchscreen, capable of displaying high-resolution graphics, animations, and custom buttons. The touch-sensitive LCD display allows installers unmatched flexibility in designing an interface that provides users intuitive access to all the functions of the system with a streamlined programming process.

In addition to the LCD, there are 16 hard buttons that allow easy access to frequently used functions. The T3’s touchscreen and tactile buttons are all fully programmable and macro-assignable, and allow installers to build an infinitely flexible and expandable control platform for any system in the home. A 32-bit, 200 MHz XScale processor ensures quick, reliable response, and the remote’s non-volatile flash memory allows storage of an expansive library of codes and commands, which remain in tact even when power is lost.

When combined with RTI accessory devices, the T3 is capable of simultaneous RF transmission, even through walls and cabinets. The remote’s battery has a 30-day stand-by and an average run time of 5-7 days. The T3 retails for $1,199.00.

CEPro magazine’s annual High Impact Products of the Year highlights the year’s most important products, with winners selected from a list of nominations made by the magazine’s readers. Selected products represent the finest custom electronics that help dealers save money, boost margins and increase sales among 13 major categories.
