Beaverton Oregon, January 1, 2005 – Roan Audio announces the introduction of the Cayuse, a new three-way, floor standing loudspeaker at CES 2005 in Las Vegas.
The Roan Cayuse is a high performance three way speaker featuring an 8 inch, side firing aluminum cone woofer, a 27mm high definition coated fabric dome tweeter and a 6.5 inch XP cone midrange. The tweeter and midrange are in a coaxial, time aligned arrangement providing a symmetrical radiation pattern and a very smooth response.
The Cayuse cabinets are made from solid, sustainably harvested bamboo in natural and caramelized colors. Bamboo is a very hard and stable material that makes a uniquely beautiful and environmentally friendly speaker enclosure. “This is a truly elegant and beautiful speaker that has astonishing sound quality”, says Jeff Connor, General Manager of Roan Audio, “two years of design, engineering, and critical listening have produced a speaker that provides an exceptional listening experience”.
