Razer’s Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed Earbuds Are Optimized for Gamers

The Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed earbuds incorporate THX certification, Bluetooth, ANC, and a wireless dongle for low-latency gaming needs.

Razer Hammerhead Pro Hyperspeed Wireless Earbuds

There are so many manufacturers unveiling wireless earbuds that it is starting to become very hard to differentiate any of them. That’s not a good thing. Not even for high-end brands like Bowers & Wilkins and Master & Dynamic that offer superior sounding wireless earbuds. Razer’s Hammerhead Pro Hyperspeed Earbuds are aimed at the gaming market and that feels like a smart play.

Core Features

Here is a rundown of what these unique earbuds provide.

THX Certified Audio: Just as with other THX certified headphones, the Earbuds provide consistent frequency response, low distortion, and exceptional noise isolation in-line with THX Certification standards.

Tip: Razer owns THX. 2023 is THX’s 40th Anniversary year.

Cross-Platform Connectivity: The Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed is designed to expand the practicality of true wireless audio with cross-platform connectivity. To accomplish this, Razer includes the HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle. The technology built into the dongle allows devices without Bluetooth audio capabilities to be used with the earbuds. For example, gamers can plug the HyperSpeed Wireless dongle into a PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, or PC and wirelessly transmit audio to the earbuds using the 2.4 GHz band. In addition, the wireless Dongle delivers quality low-latency audio of less than 40 ms.

Tip:  If not using the Dongle, a 60ms latency can be obtained with Bluetooth when the earbuds are in Game Mode. The Earbuds support Bluetooth ver 5.3.

Fully Adjustable Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation: Advanced feedback and feedforward microphones monitor the surrounding environment. This enables users to cancel out noise during focused gaming sessions or adjust the in-app slider to control how much ambient sound they want to let in.

Fast Wireless Charging Case: The Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed comes with a Qi-compatible, fast wireless charging case that holds an additional 24 hours of battery life. The charging case is compatible with other Razer Charging Pads as well as other branded wireless chargers. Wired charging is also supported via a Type C port.

Do-Not-Disturb Mode on Dual-Wireless Connection: The feature turns off Bluetooth notifications while gaming on HyperSpeed. This allows users to focus on gaming or work. When connected to a phone and another audio source over Bluetooth, the mode can be toggled to prevent calls and texts from interrupting listening sessions.

Razer Chroma™ RGB: Users can access customizable lighting with close to 16.8 million colors,  patterns, and dynamic in-game lighting effects.

Additional Specifications

  • Frequency Response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz
  • Impedance: 16 Ω
  • Sensitivity: 95 dB SPL / mW by HATS
  • Input Power: 5 mW (max input)

From lvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Hardware Business Unit: …With the Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed, we’re not just offering gamers another pair of wireless earbuds, we’re answering a call for precision, performance, and cross-platform versatility that’s been long echoed in the gaming community…Razer’s industry-leading technology and deep understanding of gamers’ needs are the driving force behind this innovative solution…”
