PEERLESS INDUSTRIES SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH TELEVISA TO DEVELOP FIRST COMPREHENSIVE DIGITAL SIGNAGE NETWORK IN LATIN AMERICA
— Professional A/V Mount Leader and Latin America’s Largest Media Provider Create Innovative Agreement —
CHICAGO, IL — May 17, 2006 — Peerless Industries, Inc., (www.peerlessmounts.com), the leader in professional-grade audio/visual mounting solution, today announced that Peerless de Mexico, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Peerless Industries, has signed an agreement with Grupo Televisa, S.A. (“Televisa”; BMV:TELEVISA CPO; NYSE:TV) to design, develop and integrate digital signage networks in Mexico.
Under the terms of the agreement, Peerless will provide comprehensive services to Televisa, such as designing specific mounts for targeted locations and supplying certified professional-grade mounting solutions that conform to global standards from Underwriters’ Labs, Video Electronics Standards Association and the International Standards Organization. Peerless will work with Televisa to develop various mounting solutions that will maximize screen visibility and minimize potential damage to equipment and liability, while enhancing security. Peerless also will develop a training program for the installation teams, assuring that every mount is installed securely and safely.
Peerless Industries is scheduled to provide more than 5,000 custom mounting solutions to be placed in multiple retail locations across Mexico in 2006. These mounts are utilized near checkout registers, in produce departments, and around delicatessen and supermarket aisles.
Peerless is the first U.S. mounting company with manufacturing, sales and distribution in Latin America.
