ParkerVision’s SignalMAX Wireless Networking Products Win Best of RetailVision Award

Winners Selected by Top 100-Level Retailers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 20– ParkerVision, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRKR), announced today that ParkerVision’s SignalMAX(TM) wireless networking products have won the Best Product Award in the peripherals category at the RetailVision(R) Fall 2004 event, September 7-10 in San Diego, CA. RetailVision is produced by Vision Events(R), a Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT ITb) company. Winners were selected by the top 100-level retailers, which account for $60 billion in consumer electronics sales annually.

SignalMAX networking products are targeted at consumers seeking maximum wireless distance connectivity for their cable and DSL modems. SignalMAX products are compatible with all 802.11b/g compliant products and are guaranteed to improve distance and eliminate “dead-zones” even when used with other manufacturers’ gear. The company guarantees coverage of an entire home without the added complexity or cost of repeaters, boosters, or special high-gain antennas. When SignalMAX notebook or desktop cards are utilized with SignalMAX routers, one-mile open field distance performance is achieved.

“These awards represent an extraordinary benchmark for technology vendors because they are voted on by the top retailers in North America,” said Pete Prentice, senior director for RetailVision. “For both winners and nominees, the awards carry the prestige and the confirmation that a vendor’s products and strategies are succeeding in the consumer channel demonstrating both innovation and leadership.”

For the past 15 years, the “Best of RetailVision Awards” have been acknowledged as one of the computer retailing industry’s leading honors. Among the record number of leading retailer organizations attending RetailVision and voting on this fall’s awards were CompUSA, Best Buy, Circuit City, Dell, Staples, and many others.

“We are proud to get yet another significant award that demonstrates ParkerVision’s progress in converting our technology and performance advantages into attractive product offerings,” said Jeffery L. Parker, Chairman and CEO of ParkerVision. “We hope this will signify that the products we make available to consumers are not just of the highest quality, but will noticeably outperform the most recognizable brand names.”

SignalMAX products are based on ParkerVision’s patented Direct2Data(TM) (D2D)(TM) wireless RF technology. ParkerVision has successfully fielded thousands of units, many with users that were unable to provide adequate coverage or who required multiple access points, antennas or additional equipment.
