FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Olive brings perpendicular recording technology to music server line. – Increasing capacity while improving reliability, noise and heat dissipation.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 22nd, 2007 – Olive Media Products, Inc., a developer of innovative digital audio systems, today announced the integration of hard disk drives (HDD) with perpendicular recording technology into its award-winning music server line. The new recording technology is widely heralded as a breakthrough to current capacity limitations, but also reduces noise and heat, as well as improves the reliability of HDDs through the use of fewer components.

Olive’s first music server to get the technology upgrade is its award-winning SYMPHONY, the world’s only audiophile music server that exclusively employs 2.5″ HDDs. The new SYMPHONY is now available with a 2.5″perpendicular recording HDD with 160GB capacity, equivalent to approximately 450 CDs in lossless quality. Thanks to its power-efficient design the SYMPHONY consumes a mere 7W in play mode, and, combined with its exceptionally low heat dissipation, runs without a fan. To further minimize noise emission, the new HDD technology operates virtually inaudible; a big advantage when playing classical music with quiet music passages.

Olive’s new SYMPHONY 160GB is available for US$1,199 directly by phone (1.877.BY.OLIVE) and online at www.olive.us.
