Objectworld Establishes New Breed Of Partner Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Connect Interoperability Program — Changing the Face of Customer Service

Unified Communications software for Microsoft Windows platforms, has announced the Objectworld Connect Interoperability Program. The program certifies and provides support for partner products and/or services as interoperable with Objectworld Unified Communications Server.
For Objectworld partners, resellers and customers, the program provides an opportunity to deploy an open, certified and supported, end-to-end unified communications solution. For customers, that means unprecedented choice of hardware and software with the assurance that the pieces will work together.
For Objectworld customers, Connect makes VoIP deployment simple and flexible.
“Objectworld’s commitment to interoperability singled out UC Server from a field of mostly proprietary competitors,” said Don Reece, director of information technology at Pembina Trails School Division. “I told Objectworld we had Dell switches, and they said, ‘We can work with Dell.’ I told them we’d like to use Polycom handsets and they said, ‘We can work with Polycom.’ I knew we could switch handsets, gateways or servers if we chose to down the road, and that we could rely on Objectworld’s excellent second-level support for any Connect-certified products. It made our decision to buy UC Server that much easier.”
The program also provides partners with an opportunity to increase market share, brand awareness and revenues through joint marketing and training programs with Objectworld. “Polycom’s SoundPoint IP deskphones deliver exceptional sound quality, an intuitive user interface and are easy to deploy,” said Tim Yankey, director of product marketing at Polycom. “Objectworld’s Connect interoperability program ensures our customers that their telephones will operate seamlessly and reliably as part of their Objectworld UC Server ecosystem.”
The program consists of two designations, Objectworld Connect and Objectworld Connect PLUS. Program designations are awarded to products based on levels of interoperability. With a Connect PLUS product, customers will be able to add the device or service during their install of UC Server without any configuration on their part. Connect designates a product that requires minimal configuration for a customer to add the device or service to their install of UC Server. Objectworld provides second-level, system-wide support for all Connect-designated products and services.

“The Connect program offers our customers unrivalled peace of mind,” said Steve Grassie, vice-president of business development and marketing at Objectworld. “A customer can take a Connect PLUS-certified SIP phone and just plug-it in to the network and UC Server will find it and configure it automatically. The combination of simplicity of deployment and choice is unmatched by any other vendor in the industry today, period.”
