Niles Release Whisper-Quiet Fan Cooling Modules

Installers can use FM-1 and FM-1R cooling fans to enhance performance and extend equipment life

MIAMI, FLORIDA AUGUST 17, 2006 — Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name in Custom Installation, announces the release of the company’s FM-1 and FM-1R System Cooling Modules. Designed to address the growing need for cabinet and rack system cooling, the modules keep audio/video equipment cool and running smoothly thanks to variable-speed, temperature-sensing dual 12VDC fans that move 150 cubic feet of air per minute at just the right times. The modules are operated by a brushless-motor, so operation is whisper-quite, virtually eliminating background fan noise. The modules’ exterior features a sleek, low-profile design.

The FM-1 (Standard module) and FM-1R (Rack-mount module) give dealers and installers the ability to provide clients with a top-to-bottom Niles solution that ensures the longevity of the audio and video equipment they sell or install, while at the same time, actually enhancing the performance levels of equipment.

“The FM-1 and FM-1R system cooling modules are the perfect solution for installers looking enhance the performance and extend the life of the equipment they sell and install,” said Mike “Sparky” Detmer, vice president of sales and marketing for Niles. “For Niles, including these products in our mix represents our commitment to being our installers’ one-stop shop for all things custom.”

Featuring remote trigger inputs that turns the fan on and off automatically, both the FM-1 and the FM-1R have a trigger loop output that can be daisy chained to additional trigger devices or fan cooling modules.

Additionally, a two-minute turn off delay circuit prevents heat build up in the rack or cabinet once equipment has been turned off.

Both the FM-1 and the FM-1R feature superb build quality and a two-year limited warranty, something dealers have come to expect from Niles for over 28 years. Shipping now, the line is sold exclusively through a network of Niles factory-authorized dealers.
