SENNHEISER ELECTRONIC CORPORATION ROLLS OUT
guidePORT’s STATISTICS & ANNOUNCEMENT MANAGER SOFTWARE

OLD LYME, CONNECTICUT: Sennheiser Electronic Corporation (SEC) released its
newest version of the guidePORT software at the Annual American Association
of Museums Convention in New Orleans on May 7, 2004. guidePORT is
Sennheiser’s award-winning wireless, multi-lingual visitor information
system, which provides a state-of-the-art audio tour system for exhibitions,
museums, theme parks, zoos, botanical gardens, and historic sites. This new
version of the guidePORT software allows for direct communication with, and
the tracking of, visitors throughout any venue.

Statistics Manager also generates useful statistics for exhibit
administrators regarding their visitors, such as time spent in each zone,
the path traveled, and any displays that were passed over. Features in the
new software provide a bar graph of visitor movement and time spent at each
exhibit element. This powerful tool can be used to determine the holding
power of individual displays as well as interest levels for varying
demographic segments. Additionally, Statistics Manager will show which
languages were most selected and which of the keys on the receiver are being
most utilized.

“The new guidePORT Statistics Manager software feature offers administrators
valuable feedback regarding visitor response to exhibits,” observes Dennis
Zembower, business manager, guidePORT. “Announcement Manager extends the
capabilities of the operators to further enhance the exhibit experience for
every visitor by providing directions and current information. Taken
together, the new software features ensure that guidePORT will pay for the
system many times over by providing venue administrators an accurate picture
of their visitors path.”

Additionally, each visitor can receive a report showing their route, which
might also highlights the areas of highest interest encouraging a visit to
the gift/book shop to seek more in depth information.

Announcement Manager permits the transmission of live or recorded
announcements into the headsets of specific groups of users or an “all call”
announcement to all users simultaneously. Announcements can be made
automatically according to a given schedule with pre-recorded files, or
spontaneously via live announcer. Announcement Manager requires the new
streamlined transmitter number GP SR 3200-2.

Established in 1945 in Wedemark, Germany, Sennheiser is the acknowledged
world leader in microphone technology, RF-wireless and infrared sound
transmission, headphone transducer technology, and most recently, in the
development of active noise-cancellation. Sennheiser Electronic Corporation
is the U.S. wholly owned subsidiary, with headquarters in Old Lyme,
