PEERLESS INTRODUCES INDUSTRY’S FIRST MOTORIZED MOUNT FOR ‘PUSH-OF-A-BUTTON’ TILT, PIVOT AND EXTENSION OF FLAT PANEL SCREEN

Motorized Mounting Solution Allows Wide Range of Viewing Angles in Commercial Settings

CHICAGO, IL –July 27, 2006 — Peerless Industries, Inc., the industry leader in professional-grade audio/visual mounting solutions, today introduced a Motorized Wall Mount (MM860) that allows remote-controlled position adjustment of tilt, pivot and extension of a flat panel screen up to 60 inches and 180 pounds from any viewing location.

The MM860 was designed for commercial applications that require flexible viewing angles, such as hotel ballrooms and lobbies, corporate conference rooms, lecture halls, bars, clubs and other locations where glare or reflection can hinder viewing or remote movement of the screen is needed. Using a universal IR remote or RS-232-compatible touch panel control automation system, viewers can move the screen to a desired viewing angle or to one of the preset positions that the user can establish with the MM860. With a push of a button, the MM860 smoothly extends the screen up to 12 inches from the wall, swivels left or right from 20 degrees to 32 degrees (depending on screen size), tilts up to 25 degrees down and 7 degrees up providing an easily attainable, ideal angle from any viewing location. In the retracted position, the mount is unobtrusive, residing 4.6 inches from the wall.

“This product combines all of the features ever needed in a motorized wall mount– extension and retraction, pivot, even tilt — all with a simple push of a remote control button,” said Derrik Lam, Director, Mounting Solutions Business Unit. “Imagine a screen mounted 12 feet in the air that you can now pivot and tilt so your customer can comfortably see everything — and you can do this without using a ladder.”

Installation, Cable Management and Safety
The MM860 is installed using familiar steps used for installing manual flat panel mounts. Universal mounting brackets and all the required screen attachment fasteners are included to secure and accommodate virtually any flat panel screen up to 60 inches. Cables and cords are concealed via bellows located behind the display, providing a clean appearance. The bellows also prevents foreign objects from interfering with the movement of the mount, and protects the user from accidental pinching. A software program is incorporated in the functionality as standard with the MM860. Users only need to set the size of the screen — the program will prevent the screen from bumping into the wall.

Availability and Pricing
The new Motorized Wall Mount will be available in August at a list price of $2,199.00. For more information about Peerless’ mounting solutions, visit www.peerlessmounts.com or call (800)865-2112.
