Monoprice Introduces Monolith THX In-Wall Speakers

Monoprice expands its in-wall speaker line with two Monolith THX Certified loudspeakers that are easy to install and complement monoprice’s previously released in-wall subwoofers.

Monoprice Monolith In-Wal THX Speakers

Monoprice has been very active in the speaker and subwoofer categories over the past year with a number of new product introductions under their Mononlith brand (see links at the end of this article). Their latest entries are the THX Certified THX-275IW and THX-465IW in-wall speakers.

Tip: These speakers should be a great complement to Monoprice’s recently announced M-IWSUB8 and M-IWSUB82 In-Wall Subwoofers.

Features Shared by Both Speakers

THX Certification Process
  • THX Certification: This speaker line has been submitted and passed THX standards for application and performance. The THX-275IW is THX Select Certified (Suitable for rooms up to 2,000 cubic feet in size) while the THX-465IW  is THX Ultra Certified (Suitable for rooms up to 3,000 cubic feet in size).
  • Impedance: Both speakers have a 4-ohm impedance. Make sure your amplifier or receiver can double its power output into 4 ohms.
  • Connections: Each speaker has a set of spring‑loaded binding posts.
  • Easy Install: The heavy‑duty dog-ear mounting system makes for a fast and problem-free installation. The magnetically detachable grille is powder coated in white and can be painted to match any decor

Tip: Monolith™ THX® Certified in‑wall and in‑room speakers use the same driver and crossover components. This means you can mix and match Monolith THX-certified speakers to suit any room. Using Monolith THX in‑wall and in-room speakers for the left, center, right, and, rear channels in a home theater will still be timbre matched.
