Mary Cardas Moves to NHT

BENICIA, CA, August 28, 2006 — NHT today announced that Mary Cardas is the company’s new North American Sales Manager. The announcement was made by Andy Regan, NHT’s Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

In her new role, Ms. Cardas will interface with established NHT distributors, dealers, and sales representatives, while opening new channels of distribution for the company’s acclaimed series of high performance loudspeakers, audio/video electronics, and professional audio gear. Additionally, Ms. Cardas will aid in developing sales training programs for the brand.

“I can’t think of anybody in this business with a stronger pedigree in specialty audio,” commented Regan, “Mary is one of those people whose passion for the audio industry stems from her love of music and the fun of working others who share that passion, just like the rest of the team at NHT. Combine that with her commitment to client support, and it’s no wonder we’re thrilled to have her on board.”

Not surprisingly, Ms. Cardas’s audio career began with the company founded by her father, George Cardas. In 1989, she joined Cardas Audio as a Managing Director. During her time with Cardas Audio, Ms. Cardas grew the company’s sales volume by 65% while overseeing expansion of the product line.

From there, she moved to Theta Digital where, as National Sales Manager, Ms. Cardas helped the company evolve into a top-tier supplier of amplifiers, preamplifiers, and processors, designed for discerning end-users. Similarly, she later joined Sunfire to help steward the company to a well-respected position in the audio market.

Ms. Cardas eventually left the hardware side of the business to join Classic Records, one of the most revered suppliers of analogue reference recordings, to help guide the company to its position as one of the most successful operations of its kind.

Mary Cardas originally graduated Pomona College in 1987, with a BA in Anthropology. She currently resides in Newport Beach California.
