Magnolia Audio Video Selects Panamax/Furman as Provider of Power Management Solutions

Panamax/Furman, a world-leading provider of AC power management solutions, today announced that an expanded assortment of the company’s power management products are now available through Magnolia Audio Video, a high-end electronics entertainment retailer. Magnolia’s offering now includes a wider variety of Panamax/Furman power management systems, surge protectors, and In-Wall™ products. The move offers Magnolia’s customers greater access to the most advanced power management technologies available for the protection and enhanced performance of A/V components, while offering Panamax/Furman increased exposure to consumers.

Magnolia Audio Video offers premium audio, video, and home theater equipment to its discriminating customers. With over 50 years of A/V experience, the company holds the distinction of being the most award-winning electronic entertainment retailer in the industry.

“Panamax/Furman is one of the earliest industry pioneers in advanced power filtration and protection, and we are pleased to be offering an even greater selection of their award-winning solutions to our customers,” said Carey Poynter, director of merchandising at Magnolia Audio Video. “Panamax/Furman has always focused on engineering, which results in a superior product. For our customers, this translates into optimal performance from components for an enhanced A/V experience. And with more products, we are better equipped to offer a solution that fits any customer need.”

Panamax/Furman products featured in the line-up at Magnolia Audio Video include the MAX PM family of components, which was honored with a Residential Systems 2008 Resi Award; the M8-HT, PM8-HT, and M8-HT-PRO power filtration and surge protection products; the MAX 7500-PRO power management system and M7500CRD-IP for IP control; the slimline MFP-400 for residential home theater systems; the IT-Reference-15 i, IT-Reference-20 i, and Elite-20 PF i power management systems; the M1500-UPS-PFP; the PFPower MIW-XT In-Wall power management extender system and the MIW-SURGE In-Wall surge protection system; the award-winning MAX In-Wall series; and the M2C dual-outlet surge suppressor and M2SUB dual-outlet powered subwoofer surge protector.

Magnolia Audio Video will be offering some of the latest technology from Panamax/Furman in the PFPower MIW-XT and MIW-SURGE. Available now, the MIW-XT extends the benefits of a Panamax or Furman power management product to remotely located equipment. It also offers EMI/RFI noise filtration built into the outlet receptacles for additional AC noise filtration, offsetting the noise induced when distributing AC power. The MIW-SURGE, which recently received both a 2008 Product of the Year Award from Electronic House and a CustomRetailer 2008 Exc!te award, features point-of-use protection for similar applications containing remotely installed home theater equipment. The MIW-SURGE is a single in-wall power management solution that is ideal for components such as a flat panel display or a subwoofer in which fundamental surge protection is mandatory.

Both the MIW-XT and MIW-SURGE accommodate a wide variety of common low voltage signal line installation solutions for the ultimate customization of installations, including signal line pass-through inserts, Decora adapters, Keystone adapters, and Panamax/Furman signal line modules.

“Magnolia Audio Video has built its reputation by very carefully choosing product offerings that provide the quality and value its customers expect. By offering the highest levels of AC noise reduction for the best possible video and sound quality, while ensuring the long life of home theater components, we feel that our offering of power management solutions is ideally suited for Magnolia’s discriminating customers,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax and Furman. “And for us, Magnolia Audio Video provides a great opportunity to increase exposure of our line of advanced power management solutions, and offers a valuable sales channel for our products.”
