Leon Speakers Horizon 616-OS Series

Leon Speakers, a manufacturer of custom crafted high-fidelity audio solutions for living spaces and dedicated home theaters, announced a partnership with Stewart Filmscreens at the upcoming CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta, GA. Leon Speakers will display its biggest speaker to date — a Horizon 616-OS Series speaker that is custom built to 143 inches wide to exactly match Stewart’s newest and slimmest CineCurve projection screen. Featuring three channels of audio, and wrapped in Stewart’s VeLux black velvet applique, Leon’s Horizon speaker provides a powerful, easy-to-integrate audio solution for any dedicated theater. The audio/video pairing will be featured at Stewart’s CEDIA Expo Booth 837.

The Leon Speakers and Stewart Filmscreens integration is guaranteed to deliver an immersive home theater experience. Custom built to match the exact curvature and width of Stewart’s newest CineCurve screen, Leon’s dynamic dedicated theater solution provides easier integration and better placement of the front left, center, and right channels. The Horizon 616-OS features world-class 6-inch Peerless HDS woofers and Morel MDT-29 tweeters to offer an extremely rich, accurate reproduction of vocals, yet is powerful enough to handle the biggest movie sound effects.

“We were very fortunate to be able to work with Stewart and bring our Horizon OS speaker into their booth,” said Ethan Kaplan, marketing director at Leon Speakers. “We have always provided our dealers with uncompromising audio solutions for both living space and dedicated theater. When we approached Stewart Filmscreens about this partnership, we felt it would be a great way to both demonstrate Leon’s abilities as a custom shop as well as give Stewart dealers a new high-fidelity audio option for their home theater installations.”

The Horizon 616-OS Series is shipping now at a starting MSRP of $9,995. Custom upgrades, including the black velvet VeLux wrap, are available at an extra cost.
