ITC Introduces Tool-less Connectors for Residential and Commercial A/V System Installers

IRVINE, Calif. — Aug. 27, 2007 — ITC (Instant Tool-less Connector), a division of The Quest Group (parent company of AudioQuest and WireLogic) announces its new cost-effective series of nickel-plated connectors to complement its existing line of well-accepted gold connectors. ITC’s novel patented connector system provides a quick and cost-effective alternative to soldering or compression systems.

Current solder and compression termination systems require multiple tools to make a connection. ITC’s connectors, however, do not require a tool for termination, a significant benefit for residential and commercial A/V system installers. The ITC tool-less system lowers costs by reducing termination time, complexity, and failure rate.

To ensure long-term, reliable connections, the connectors from ITC feature a captive center pin that securely grips onto the center conductor using a unique spring tension system for maximum contact and conductivity. Thus, the connectors are unique in their ability to be easily reused.

“Our new series of nickel-plated connectors are an ideal solution for installers,” said William Low, CEO of The Quest Group. “The tool-less system reduces termination time, while the connectors’ high performance reduces failure rates. Both of these advantages add up to cost savings. Installers can be assured that all connections are extremely secure. They can be confident that they won’t be called back to the job site to diagnose marginal or problematic connections.”

The new nickel-plated series of ITC connectors is available in F, BNC, and RCA connector configurations for 18-AWG, 20-AWG and 24-AWG coax cable. Additional models will be available at the end of Q3. Prices range from 60 cents to $1.60 each.
