HiMirror Announces Mini Touchscreen Smart Mirror with Alexa

HiMirror Mini

Voice-interactive digital mirror with personalized skincare analysis and makeup styling assistance

HiMirror announced a smaller, touchscreen smart mirror is expected by late summer 2018. The new product called the HiMirror Mini (10.1-inch) is actually a mirror you can talk to or tap. It follows the larger HiMirror Plus (14-inch, 2nd generation launched in December 2017). Both include Amazon Alexa-enabled voice controls for ease of use, but the Mini adds interactions via a touchscreen instead of a remote control.

The HiMirror is the world’s first voice-interactive smart mirror with a revolutionary new approach to daily beauty, offering in-depth, personalized skincare analysis based on the evolving condition of the skin, local weather conditions and more. HiMirror keeps an ongoing record of the user’s skin to track goals and the results of products used. It also allows users to provide feedback on products efficacy. A user’s collection of skincare products can be scanned into the system through a virtual “My Beauty Box” by barcode, with reminders sent for any product expirations. The HiMirror also features an entertainment center consisting of current news stories, music, ambient make up lighting, video tutorials, a virtual make up feature and much more. Equipped with a mobile app, the HiMirror lets users track and tweak their skincare needs on the go.

The HiMirror Mini is approximately 13.31 x 9.02 inches, with a 10.1″ TFT LCD panel which can be easily adjusted within the settings of the mirror for optimal and accurate lighting. It is equipped with Amazon Alexa-enabled features, privacy facial and voice recognition account access, and a noise cancellation microphone. The HiMirror Mini will also be the first touchscreen product in the HiMirror portfolio.

Accessories for the HiMirror product portfolio are sold separately and include the Smart Body Scale and the HiSkin. The Smart Body Scale allows users to identify their body type as well as measure their weight, body mass index, body fat, water level content, muscle mass, bone weight, resting metabolism, etc. The Body and Fitness feature on HiMirror also includes fitness videos for different exercise types, body parts and equipment to ensure a total at-home health and fitness experience. HiSkin is a revolutionary hand-held device that connects to the HiMirror to provide a “skin deep” 360° analysis of the skin’s condition measuring hydration level, pigmentation and more. With a single click, HiSkin helps the user better understand and care for their skin anytime, anywhere.

“HiMirror is a technology-driven beauty tool and one of the first in its market to truly revolutionize the modern beauty routine. We know consumers will make HiMirror and its accessories an essential part of their beauty and wellness regimen and we are excited to add the more portable and easy-to-use HiMirror Mini to our already outstanding product portfolio,” said Simon Shen, CEO of Taipei-based New Kinpo Group.
