Harmony Remote Provides the Hottest Remote Control for this Years Grammy Stars

Annual goodie bag for performers and presenters includes hottest new universal remote that controls even the most ambitious A/V systems

Mississauga, Ontario, Feb. 13, 2004 — Intrigue Technologies Inc., a leader in intelligent remote control technology, provided their most popular controller, the Model-659 Family Remote for the gift baskets given out at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards to all presenters and performers.

“We were extremely pleased to participate in this year’s Grammy Awards by contributing our most successful product, the Model-659 Family Remote,” says Geoff Lyon, the VP of Sales and Marketing for the Harmony Remote. “What makes the Harmony Remote so popular is anyone can use it, not just gadget gurus.”

Among the recipients of the gift basket were Justin Timberlake, Christina Aquilera, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Beyonce, Sting, Outkast, and Madonna. “They may be celebrities,” adds Lyon, “But they still need a simple solution for controlling their home entertainment center just like everyone else. ”

Receiving overwhelming critical acclaim and recognition from consumers and the press, the success of the groundbreaking Harmony Family Remote is attributed to their unique and revolutionary, Smart State Technology. Due to Activity-based programming, at a glance, the easy to identify buttons marked “Watch TV”, Watch A DVD” or “Listen to Music” makes using the Harmony Remote easier than the remotes that actually come with the original electronic components. It is the only universal remote that is custom configured over the Internet and is both PC and Mac compatible.

“With seemingly impossible-to-impress celebrities, only the most unique and ground-breaking technology and products are acceptable,” says Johnny Ward, President of Distinctive Assets, the company who selects products for each year’s Grammy gift basket. ” The amazing Harmony Remote has not only exceeded the expectations of Distinctive Assets’ high-profile clientele, but has also raised the bar for ingenuity within the entire home entertainment industry.”

Harmony Remotes can be found at select A/V retailers and all Best Buy superstores. For more information or images of the Harmony Remote Model-659 contact Kim Wilson [818 843 5555].

About Intrigue Technologies Inc. and The Harmony Remote
Justin Henry and Glen Harris, two biomedical engineers, originally founded Intrigue Technologies Inc. in 1999. They were frustrated by the complexity of operating a “simple” home theatre system and the plethora of remote control devices that were required. After identifying the opportunity for a “web-connected” universal remote control, they spent two years developing the Harmony Remote Control, establishing the company that is now known as Intrigue Technologies Inc. The company’s vision is to produce revolutionary products that help consumers simplify their every day lives. For more information on Harmony Remote’s full product line visit www.HarmonyRemote.com.
