HAI MicroControl Wireless Energy Management System

689039.jpg

Home Automation, Inc. (HAI) today released its MicroControl (81A00-2WHZB) Standalone Wireless Energy Management System — no home control system required. The MicroControl lets you enact time-based schedules for temperatures, water heaters, heating and air conditioning units, pumps, fountains, lamps, generators, and other devices. All products are easy to install since they utilize ZigBee Home Automation Wireless profiles.

When used stand-alone: Automatically set back energy loads from 9AM-4PM during the week, having preferences restore an hour before returning home (to ensure a cool household, a piping hot shower, etc). Leaving unexpectedly? Press one button when walking out the door to put the devices into an energy savings mode. When you return home, press the button again, or set the items to automatically restore after a certain number of hours.

At any time, use the MicroControl's menu structure to dial into a particular load (pool pump), view its current status, and turn it on or off. Users can also view the current draw (instantaneous consumption) of any connected device.

The MicroControl can also act as a ZigBee Interface Module (ZIM), allowing the standalone system to be fully integrated into an HAI home control system, providing remote monitoring, access, and expanded scheduling and logic.

The ZigBee Home Automation products also include: Omnistat2 Wireless Multistage & Heat Pump w/ Humidity Control (RC-2000colorcodeZB), Omnistat2 Wireless Single-Stage Conventional & Heat Pump (RC-1000colorcodeZB), ZigBee Interface Module (ZIM) for HAI Omni & Lumina Controllers (81A00-3WHZB), 30A Wireless Load Control Module (73A00-3ZB), 5A Wireless Load Control Module (73A00-4ZB), and the 15A Plug-in Load Control Module (89A00-1ZB). Additionally, a complete MicroControl demonstration system is available for dealers and distributors in convenient hardcase (18A00-20).

“The MicroControl, when used in conjunction with HAI's wireless Omnistat2 Thermostats and Load Control Modules, is designed to control the major energy users in a building at the lowest cost. This gives you the most energy savings per dollar invested in the equipment”, explained HAI President, Jay McLellan. “The MicroControl is an affordable standalone solution for those wishing to employ technology for energy savings in either existing or new homes.”
