WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Gefen announced improvements to its 4×1 HDMI Switcher, making a useful HD video integration solution even better.
The Gefen 4×1 HDMI Switcher performs a valuable role in the connection of multiple components to a single input HDTV display. It enables up to four HD sources to be accessed from the same HD display.
The ability to add DVI sources such as computers (with an optional HDMI to DVI Adapter), and control from an RS-232 interface or IR remote helps make this product shine.
Based on customer feedback, the 4×1 HDMI Switcher is now available in black to better blend with system components and room aesthetics, in addition to the traditional silver/blue.
“Offering different color and weighting the box to better balance its stance was an easy change to implement, and we are already seeing increased interest in the new color option,” said Hagai Gefen, president and CEO.
Measuring approximately 11 inches long by one and a half tall, the unit has been slightly weighted to prevent the box from lifting by the weight of the four HDMI cables on its backside.
HDMI compliant, high definition video up to 1080p resolution is supported and the unit passes through HDCP compliant signals from the sources through the switcher to the display.
