Furman Selected as Vendor Partner By HTSA Buying Group

PETALUMA, Calif. ‘” Feb. 17, 2009 ‘” Furman, a world-leading provider of power management solutions, today announced that it has been selected as a vendor partner by the Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) buying group. The partnership expands Furman’s distribution network, while providing HTSA members with full access and exclusive pricing on its complete offering of advanced power management technologies.

With 61 dealer members, 97 storefronts, and 870 installers nationwide, HTSA represents an aggregate annual sales volume of more than $450 million. Only 52 vendors have access to this elite group of home theater specialists. With the addition of Furman, HTSA brings its members special pricing on Furman power management solutions, opportunities for demo programs, and special promotions.

“We chose Furman as a vendor partner because their products offer our members profitability and salability,” said Richard Glikes, executive director of HTSA. “In addition to their high quality, reliability, and high performance, Furman’s power management products have the ability to enhance the bottom line for our members by offsetting low-profit sales, particularly when it comes to flat-panel displays.”

“We are proud that HTSA has chosen to add Furman to its exclusive list of vendor partners, and we’re confident this partnership will offer great opportunities for both the buying group and ourselves,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Furman and Panamax. “For HTSA members, this means better pricing and access to technology that increases profit margins and ensures an optimal A/V experience for the end-user. For us, the HTSA relationship helps us increase sales by extending our distribution network to new dealers.”
