Flat Screen-Friendly A 70 Series Now Available in Black Satin Finish

INDIANAPOLIS (January 8, 2007) Jamo’s stylish A 70 series loudspeakers, crafted to deliver a high standard of home cinema surround sound reproduction along with elegant flat screen-friendly aesthetics, have already wowed discerning customers around the globe.

This year the range, which now includes five models, continues in its current form but with one key change… it’s now also available in black satin as well as brushed aluminium.

The models in the range include the A 707 and A 705 floorstanders, A 702 bookshelf, A 70 CEN center channel and A 70 SUB subwoofer. These slender speakers are crafted from solid aluminium profiles that range from 3.5mm to 7mm thick and pair beautifully with the slim profile of a flat screen TV.

A 707
Heading up the range is the A 707 floorstander. A 2 1/2 -way closed cabinet design, this 44-inch tall speaker features two 4-inch woofers and a .75-inch tweeter that has been integrated into one of the bass drivers to maintain the correct acoustic phase.

The drivers use powerful and efficient Neodymium magnets for better bass extension. Power handling, too, is a cut above thanks to larger than average (30mm) voice-coils.

To increase rigidity and enhance accuracy, the drive units are anchored to the back as well as the front of the speaker.

A 705
Slightly smaller than the A 707, the floorstanding A 705’s 2½-way closed box enclosure is designed to fulfill a variety of possible roles. It can be used as a main left/right channel or rear surround speaker if full-range sound reproduction is required and/or if placment requires a floorstanding model.

The A 705 employs a 3.5-inch woofer and 3.5-inch mid/woofer combined with a .75-inch co-axial type tweeter, all housed in a sturdy aluminium cabinet.

A 702
If floorstanders won’t work in your room the A 702 is ready to step into action. A compact 2-way closed box design the A 702 functions as either a main left/right channel or rear surround speaker.

The driver features a 3.5-inch woofer coupled with a .75-inch co-axial type tweeter, all housed in a solid A 70 series aluminium cabinet. This model is supplied with both a dedicated table-top stand and a wall bracket.

A 70 CEN
Designed for wall-mounting the range’s center channel uses the same driver configuration as the A 705, allowing excellent timbre-matching from its 2½-way, sealed box enclosure.
