To access the Firefly Design Group Portal, users simply login through the Firefly Design Group website, http://www.firefly-designgroup.com. Once logged in, installers can navigate through a number of menus designed to help them manage projects. Users can upload documents in a number of formats, including frequently used file format such as Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and more. In addition, Firefly Design Group has the ability to send, receive and edit documents produced in Autodesk Design Review, a free software platform that allows users to view, print, measure, and revise detailed 2D and 3D designs.
For custom installation companies with more than one employee, the Firefly Design Group Portal allows companies to assign administrative privileges that can dictate how much access each employee has to all of the portal’s features and documents.
The Firefly Design Group Portal allows users to easily order from Firefly Design Group’s menu of services. Prior to the introduction of the online order form, installers were required to email, fax or call in a request for service. With the launch of this new service, they now have the ability to create and manage a project as well as outline specific details on which services they need from Firefly Design Group to successfully complete the installation. Through the portal, Firefly Design Group clients can also easily upgrade to designecentral’s ePonti project management platform.
Firefly Design Group clients can be assured their documents and confidential communications are protected thanks to a number of security measures built into the portal by designecentral. Information stored within the portal is backed up daily to a secure, third-party off-site server, which employs the same 256-bit data encryption technologies utilized by many of the world’s top banks.
