MoFi Electronics is back at it again with Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, and this time they’ve brought alder to the altar of analog. Meet the Fender American Vintage Turntable—a slab of rock ‘n roll history carved into a high-performance turntable that blends MoFi’s audiophile cred with Fender’s iconic guitar legacy. Yes, that sunburst finish isn’t just for show—it’s a love letter to the Stratocaster, and it’ll make your vinyl collection feel like it just got signed by Hendrix himself.
This isn’t MoFi and Fender’s first rodeo together — their first collaboration dropped back in October 2021, priced around $3,500. That original PrecisionDeck set the stage, proving these two heavy hitters could marry vintage vibe with serious audiophile chops. Now, with this new limited-edition American Vintage turntable, they’re doubling down on the mojo — fewer units, richer heritage, same no-compromise build quality. If you liked the first, you might just salivate over this one.
Alder Wood, American Soul
If Leo Fender had designed a turntable in the ‘50s, this might’ve been it. Built from the same solid alder used in Strat bodies, the chassis delivers more than just eye candy—it’s a sonic foundation. The satin tobacco sunburst finish looks like it wandered out of a ‘60s jam session, and every curve says, “I know tone.”
This isn’t nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake—it’s MoFi and Fender doubling down on what made American music matter: craftsmanship, innovation, and some good old-fashioned attitude.
Each plinth is hand-sprayed at Fender’s California shop, using the same urethane finish collectors obsess over. It’s got a soft glow now, but give it time—just like your favorite axe, it’ll age with character. Call it patina, call it mojo—either way, this is a deck that looks better the more you use it.
Built to Play, Not Just Pose
Skip the belt fidgeting. With electronic speed control, you can toggle between 33.3 and 45 RPM with the push of a button. An illuminated switch powers it all on—simple, smooth, and totally user-friendly.
Under the hood, it’s serious business:
- A 6.8 lb. Delrin platter that eats resonance and Tunnel BBQ for breakfast
- 10” straight aluminum tonearm with gimbaled bearing
- Cardas Audio wiring and a hardened steel inverted bearing with sapphire thrust pad—lifted straight from the UltraDeck’s trophy case
- Solid alder body with classic tobacco sunburst finish
- Removable dust cover
MoFi also didn’t cut corners under the hood. The American Vintage Turntable runs on a hardened-steel inverted bearing system that’s smoother than a late-night jazz riff. Using a tight-tolerance combo of steel, bronze, and sapphire—the kind of materials usually reserved for pricier rigs—this setup keeps things spinning silently and precisely. It’s engineered to last for years, not months, so you can drop the needle without worrying your gear is aging faster than your record collection.
Height-adjustable HRS isolation feet keep the table grounded and your music clean—even when your neighbors crank the fuzz pedal.

The Bottom Line
The Fender American Vintage Turntable isn’t just a retro-inspired homage—it’s a serious piece of analog engineering from two legacy American brands that actually know how to build things that last. Fender brings the visual swagger with hand-finished ashwood and a sunburst that would make a ‘57 Strat blush, while MoFi delivers the audiophile-grade guts: a precision 10″ tonearm, heavyweight Delrin platter, and an inverted bearing that’s smoother than your dad’s record collection.
Built and assembled in the U.S., this isn’t offshore nostalgia—it’s homegrown performance. And based on MoFi’s track record, you can expect vinyl playback that hits the sweet spot between high fidelity and soulful musicality. This isn’t just for collectors. It’s for listeners who want their analog rig to sound as good as it looks—and look as good as it sounds.

Nice looking deck but price is definitely steep. Are the MoFi carts good quality?

Anton,
The price might be steep, but compared to what? Clearaudio, VPI, and Rega decks at the same price point? I have a story about the MoFi carts that I can’t share (signed an NDA going back almost 7 years) for legal reasons, but unless something changed – a very reputable Japanese cart maker worked with MoFi on every aspect of the design and they are well worth the money. Definitely worth checking out.
