DENVER, CO — CEDIA Booth #610 — ELAN Home Systems, a leading manufacturer of award-winning Multi-room audio/video and home control systems, announced today that the company will utilize the newly-introduced Digi5 Technology in future product plans. The introduction of Digi5 was announced to the trade on September 5th, 2007 by the Linear Home Technology Group. The announcement reporting that ELAN will embrace the new technology was made today by Bob Farinelli, ELAN’s President and Chief Technology Officer, and President of Sunfire and HomeLogic.
Digi5 is a revolutionary new technology standard and structure that provides a complete end-to-end solution over CAT-5 wiring. Digi5 is based on advanced digital distribution and amplification circuits that allow multi-room audio systems to be installed more quickly and cost-effectively than ever before. In addition to ELAN, five other prominent Linear Home Technology Group companies are planning 2007 and 2008 product introductions that employ this innovative new technology.
