Sound Pressure Level Limiting Earphones Provide Great Sound Without Contributing to Potential Hearing Loss

dB Logic announced its no-battery-required, ultra-low distortion sound pressure level limiting EP-100 earphones for teens and adults. The earphones feature dB Logic's SPL2 technology to help protect users from long-term hearing damage, regulating volume as needed while keeping musical content largely unchanged.

The company's proprietary SPL2 technology limits volume levels using advanced circuitry and eliminates the need for bulky battery-powered processors required by competitive sound pressure limiting products. By maintaining the integrity of the sound, the limiting is virtually transparent to the listener and the audio content does not sound clipped or distorted. dB Logic's award-winning earphones provide the industry's highest-quality listening experience that can help avoid hearing damage due to long-term exposure to high sound pressure levels.

“MP3 players and other portable audio devices are very popular, especially among young people and teenagers. dB Logic EP-100 earphones are designed to work with these products and help protect hearing, without sacrificing audio quality or style,” said Med Dyer, co-founder and chief technology officer at dB Logic. “According to the American Academy of Audiology, approximately 12 percent of all children ages 6-19 have noise induced hearing loss. We are excited to offer a product that will allow consumers to enjoy their music while at the same time help to avoid hearing damage from loud volumes.”

Pricing, Availability and Colors
dB Logic EP-100 earphones are now available for $29.99. The earphones are available in a wide variety of fashionable colors, including Quick Silver, Big Apple Red, Barracuda Blue, Valentine Pink, Shamrock Green, and Tiger Orange.
