Crestron Expands Lighting Specifier Training

521745.jpg

Crestron announces its newly expanded training program for lighting designers and specifiers. Since nearly 95 percent of all lighting control systems connect to a Crestron control solution, lighting specifiers have the need and desire to learn more about Crestron integration and control. The new Crestron Lighting Designer class introduces architects and lighting designers to unique technologies such as web control and touchpanels.

The two-day course provides a combination of practical application reviews and hands on training to demonstrate how to streamline systems and optimize system performance. Specifiers, working closely with instructors, will learn to leverage the powerful benefits of a fully integrated solution using the full range of hardware and software solutions. Crestron offers this training program every month, delivering frequent and immediate access to this important information. Crestron Green Light™, the next generation of environmental controls by Crestron, achieves an unprecedented level of comfort, convenience and optimized energy savings.

The goal of the lighting specifier program is to provide an invigorating mix of education, inspiration, and entertainment. The new courses are hosted at Crestron headquarters in Rockleigh, NJ, in newly redesigned training facilities. Crestron invested more than $200,000 to renovate its training and meeting space into a modern, interactive environment, with working systems featuring touchpanels and keypads that optimize the educational experience. Beautifully adorned plexi-glass displays on chrome stand-offs provide the perfect combination of style and functionality on which a wide-range of control modules and interfaces are displayed. Lighting designers get a rare hands-on and inside view of Crestron control systems and interfaces.

“Through this training, we are offering designers, specifiers and architects a unique look of complete, integrated solutions that go well beyond traditional lighting control,” said Bill Schafer, Crestron Director of Channel Development. “Anyone who qualifies will want to take advantage of this opportunity to expand their knowledge base and prepare for the future.”

The two-day seminar has been transformed into a five-star event. The experience begins Sunday afternoon with Crestron-sponsored entertainment in New York City, followed by dinner later that evening at a landmark Manhattan restaurant. Training sessions are conducted Monday and Tuesday, with catered breakfast and lunch. Dinner Monday night is hosted at a famous New Jersey restaurant overlooking the Hudson River with a breath taking view of the New York City skyline.

Day One curriculum includes a review of the Crestron Green Light™ product line, unique features and benefits, and the advantages of a fully integrated system on a single platform. Attendees are also guided through an exclusive tour of the Crestron Research Center and manufacturing facility. Day Two features workshops addressing practical applications in which teams design simulated systems that are subsequently reviewed and discussed in an open forum.
