ClickFree Automatic Backup Now On DVD Media

LAS VEGAS, NV/ TORONTO, CANADA — January 7, 2008 — Storage Appliance Corporation (www.storage-corp.com) today launched the world’s first line of ClickFreeTM automatic backup products at booths IP260 and IP261 at CES 2008 in Las Vegas.

The line of ClickFree backup products include both hard drive and DVD based solutions today, with other media types coming soon. These products are designed for absolute convenience and simplicity, nothing to configure, no software to install, it’s all automatic.

The first in a line of DVD backup products to come from Storage Appliance Corporation is the DVD Photo Backup. The DVD Photo Backup when inserted into a PC will automatically start, search for and copy all your digital photos onto the disc. This is the world’s first fully integrated backup solution to be based on DVD media. Each disc can store approximately 4.6Gb and multiple discs can be used for backing up large photo collections.

The ClickFree DVD Photo Backup is the second ClickFree backup product to come from Storage Appliance Corp. The ClickFree DVD Photo Backup requires no software installation or configuration; all the backup intelligence is on the disc. Take the ClickFree backup DVD from the package, insert it into your computer’s DVD drive tray and backup all your photographs and images automatically. It’s that simple!

ClickFree Automatic Backup is a breakthrough in simplicity and convenience for consumers — no more searching, clicking and dragging to backup photos; it’s now automatic. Each ClickFree Automatic Backup disc holds up to 2,500 pictures in over 70 different file formats.

With the ability to automatically backup across multiple ClickFree DVDs, an entire photo collection is protected, irrespective of its size. Once backed up, the integrated photo viewer allows users to view, print and share photos. For power users, ClickFree Automatic Backup provides numerous options for a fully customized backup. Users can target photos in specific folders, select file extensions and choose to extract photos from e-mail and zip folders.

“We bring another level of simplicity to photo backup – as long as you can put a DVD into a computer, you can perform backup.” says Ian Collins, CEO, Storage Appliance Corp. “ClickFree Photo backup is the first in a series of targeted applications backing up to DVD discs. We have Music and Office Documents coming soon – all with the same ClickFree automatic backup experience. This has created a tremendous opportunity for consumers to backup regularly; it’s the ultimate in convenience and affordability.”

ClickFree DVD Photo backup will be available in February 2008, and is packaged with 2 discs capable of storing up to 5000 photos – suggested list price is $4.99.

“ClickFree backup is turning the industry on its ear,” adds Collins. “By eliminating the complexity and the accompanying fear of performing backup, we will shift consumer perceptions and open this category to all PC users.”
